Think Frank Pingel was no9 first game I went to but only for a couple games, scored mind so the legend lived on.

But permanent full-time no9's had a great run of it for 15years from then, Mickey Quinn > David Kelly > Andy Cole > Les Ferdinand > Alan Shearer

Joelinton has been the only outright bad one, I think? Cisse was pretty hopeless by the time he left but was brilliant and then okay for a couple years.

Absolutely majestic but very short peaks for all of them.

Of course, but no one has worn the number 9 worse in my lifetime. All part of his mint journey.

Shola Ameobi apparently wore it at one point, does that change your statement at all?

Was wracking me brains to think who the 6 was, and am again, Mal Donaghy perhaps. Its post Moran I think

According to Toon1892 it is Anthony (Tony) Gill who I do not remember at all
