Christmas Day, at lunch, sitting down, Camilla goes lets play a game, 20 questions.. and what she's thinking of is Yoane Wissa's cock.

Pilko
I was already pro-Wissa but remembering the frequency that he attempts biceys for no good reason is another tick in the box.
LaurentRobert
Wissa would be a massive upgrade on the iteration of Wilson we had last season. The amount of times Isak was gassed at the 60-70th minute mark but had to carry on because we had no serviceable replacement on the bench were countless. Genuinely excited if this goes through! Ketsbaia
If we can keep this around £30m and get 2-3 good years out of him, I'd be on board with using the Pedro/Ekitike on Wissa and a CM. It's all about the squad depth. AFCON is a shame because we know what'll happen as soon as he departs.... but he was LW while Toney was around. Good versatility. - 2nd for non penalty xG (18.59) - 5th for big chances (34) - 6th for shots on target (41) It'll be an honour to see Spurs swoop in for him

Mazzy
Can't see it being £30M. £35M + a couple million in adds on is my guess. Which is crazy really but he's at his peak I suppose and over a fiver year deal it's not so bad.

I actually doubt it be a 5 year I imagine it will wither be a 3 year deal or a 2±1 which will obviously make this even more expensive in amortization. If it does go through, then as @r0cafella says amortisation gives considerable incentive to extend contracts as far as possible, so I reckon it will be a four or five year deal, as crackers as that is on paper for a guy who’ll be 29 shortly

You are right though, the deal only becomes worth it accounting terms if the contract is long. I know people are saying just flip to Saudi IJ 2 years but even that represents a large degree of risk given we haven't had any favours from the Pro league to date and who's to say they don't actually just give upon that giant money sink as they have done with other such projects

Eddie magic and all. Put him in a better, more fluid team and let Eddie do his thing. Who knows.
oldtype
Given the realities of the market, I frankly don't think we have the luxury of passing up on a 29 year old solely because he's "too old." If he was 25 he'd be off to Chelsea. Edited July 23, 2025 by oldtype

It's we sign him to a short deal 2-3 and the deal becomes really expensive over that period OR. We give him a 5 year deal which represents a financial risk as he may go Rashford on us and put the old feet up as he's made it.
aussiemag
If we offer him a 5 year deal. He starts his final year as a 32 year old. Given his injury record, thats fine.
