It's mainly his fault. Extremely weak, poor positioning and struggles to head the ball.

How many times this season has a great cross/pass been wasted because he's 5 yards deeper than he should be.

Hes not blameless, but what is he supposed to work with? One decent cross per away game?

I know I bemoaned him being too deep in the box but it's just a lack of instinct. He was a lot better earlier in the season when he was picking up the ball from deep and affecting play. Clearly he has been told to play further up but it's not his game.

He's obviously a talented player but doesn't have any striking instincts whatsoever.

Too flimsy to hold the ball up against PL defenders as well. He does his best but tends to come off second best.

He's not a natural striker - would love to see stats of how many shots he's actually had at goal.  Majority of attempts seem to come from his head.

Sadly getting hung out to dry by not playing to his strengths

What are his strengths out of interest?

He looked so much better in the number 10 against Bournemouth, not playing him there today was baffling

Probably because he’s not a target man?

Thank god we're not hoofing the ball up to him then. I'm talking about crosses and cut backs that every striker should be feeding on.

Needs to be off the main striker

I assume he was a panic buy, as we had been turned down by all our top targets. He is in no way suited to us.

Suited to us? What’s ‘us’? And who is? An isolated striker (out of position if it’s Woltemade), deep and wide wingers, no creativity in midfield and allow any team that would like to attack in between the lines.

Square peg round hole. We've gone from the perfect pacey striker for how we play football, made him into one of most in demand in Europe to a slow number 10 playing out of position and a Premier League big fish in small pond recovering from the worst injury of his career.

We're paying the price for a highly dysfunctional and disorganised summer. I like Woltemade but I don't think we really wanted him, and thus we didn't really have a plan for him. We wanted Pedro, Delap, Ekitike. All technical players like Woltemade, but also have real aggression, physicality and a threat in behind to their game too.

Other than Chelsea for 45 minutes, I genuinely struggle to remember a game where I felt like it was really working and felt coherent with him. Maybe USG/Everton away but that's about it.

Not really his fault like, but he's such a departure from the type of player this team was built to provide service to.

It’s not really hard math seeing Bayern or Dortmund going for him next summer. Kane probably wants back to Prem for his last years and Guirassy off to Saudis (hopefully).

Absolutely mental to suggest that coaching and time on the training ground could improve him, he either needs to be sold or shoehorned into a position he's never played in his career.

I get the sarcasm but he doesn't look like a striker in a million years and we've not changed formation in over 4 years. Something has to give

If anything the longer he's been here the worse he's got

He’ll get some pelters, but we have to keep starting every game and get ourselves used to him and moulded ready for next season.

Any rotation for Wissa will be shortsighted, and will just lead to inconsistencies.

I’m pretty sure that would have happened to every single striker we were after last summer. It happened to Wissa too. If you don’t have clear plan and instructions how to move, it’s really hard, especially in new league and country.

Should’ve gone down a couple of times, especially the one where Joelinton got onto the cross and he was being tackled in the box.

I would like to see him stay on for 90 mins so he can benefit from when the game opens up a bit.

Aye, absolutely this.
