Looks like he’s wading through cement. Love the guy but it’s never gonna work out here

Disagree entirely, but there is a huge amount for him to work on

I hold a different opinion. If we are playing so fucking shit currently with Wissa or with Gordon, we might as well back to our early season formation and start Nick

The guy is lightweight, pedestrian and lacks any sort of instinct or desire to score goals. Once the initial adrenaline wore off he's just not very good.

He's a luxury 5 aside player, who cost us too much money - I'd rather flog both of them in the summer and bring in someone who wakes up wanting to score goals, not do back flicks and play on their heels.

It's clear as day he's not up to it and especially in our system, whatever that currently is.

This is fucking ridiculous take. You do know he is our second highest scorer this season even when he’s dropped to the bench since Wissa is back? Not up to it? Not willing to score goals?

Just my opinion from watching a lot of average strikers since Frank Pingel - and a few decent ones also.

It's a pretty accurate take I'd say. Good footballer just not a guy to get you many goals. Luxury player and not at all an athlete.

This is the issue tbf. You can't afford to not be one in the prem.

Has he only 1 goal in his last 19 or 20 now? What the hell has happened? It started so well.

People worked him out. He's unfortunately frail as fuck.

Been used terribly as a result of one dimensional coaching, eventually his optimism has faded resulting in less output.

Before everyone writes this lad off - to date he's got 7 goals 3 assists in PL , Ekitike 10 goals 2 assists (2 of those goals tonight).  So the lads done ok.

I think he's great, just needs some help from our staff, if they think he's weak, bulk him up, if they think he's not scoring then find him a better position.

It's really simple stuff.

I think he was unlucky to be dropped when Wissa came back TBH, it was purely due to Wissa's PL experience and he hasn't done anytime better than Nick would do. The narrative around Woltemade is now worse for no real reason.

Not really his fault but watching him after Ekitike is pretty depressing.

Can’t help thinking that we’d have been better off taking the money used on Woltemade to secure a transfer agreement for Ekitike, then taking Wissa’s TF & salary and offering them to Ekitike.  I’m confident if we’d offered Ekitike £10m a year more than Liverpool he’d have considered signing :)

Fucking hell I thought the smiley face would be enough to show I’m not being serious.  I’ve never been arsed about Ekitike, I think he’s a cunt.

Nick was brought in to be our second/backup striker, Wissa was signed as our starting striker.

But Wissa got injured literally straight away, before he had even kicked a ball for us which meant Woltemade was chucked in at the deep end. Straight into a new league at 23 years old due to our first choice striker being injured.

Eddie would have introduced him slowly had Wissa not been injured but didn’t have that option.

Nick has got a lot to learn without a doubt, but has done alright since signing for us. 9 goals in all comps. Give the lad time.

Isak scored 10 in his first season here.
