Not sure what else he’s meant to do mind, since we can never play a ball to him or keep the ball long enough for him to make an attacking run. At least he’s closing people down.

we were able to play Gordon in quite a few times though I thought. They’re both fast and run a lot, but the difference is that Gordon’s movement is deliberate and smart. Osula mostly just runs in hope.

he’d be great in Bundesliga where they can’t defend

I always find it really depressing that we have to bring on people like Barnes and Murphy who we know won’t be able to make a difference in this kind of game. That’s the difference in the two squads I suppose.

Barnes was really close to scoring at the last minute though. If that had been Ramsdale as their GK..

Ran out of steam and ideas as the game came to a close, still frothing over the Burn offside, can't see how a player can be deemed to be having an advantage when the defender made him have it. Second half was pretty much all us and overall I thought we played better than arguably the best side in world football. I think it's fair to say that the Howe corner has been turned once more. We deserved something from that game but I'm really happy with the performance and we didn't take a hawking.

If anything, we’re starting to look a bit fitter.

I thought that actually, we looked bright still, and looked worse when Gordon and Elanga went off

O’Reilly…be a very good day when young dudes grow out of these absolutely lifting broccoli cuts

Also something wrong about a 20 year old already having full sleeves

Well thats part of the problem. He is often in the wrong positions.

But the game has almost no structure because we generally only have the ball for seconds and we’re chasing around after Man City.

Thats true, but we have seen this pattern before. He doesnt have the instinct of a striker.

He pushed him before we took the free-kick so they can’t really give a pen.

It does seem somewhat unfair like, but ultimately it’s clever defending from Dias as the outcome is only ever going to be an offside.

The ref should have brought the free kick back like they do for a corner

I suppose he could have done, yes.

Assuming he saw it like. Very difficult, bordering on impossible, to see everything that goes on at a set piece.
