Always weird how commentators fawn over Tonali, not least his passing. He's just been banging it straight back to Man City each time.

Tonali has been really good IMO. I do think the superdirect transitions are a function of tactical instructions. We've seen it so, so often from lots of our players. They're low probability and I don't agree with it, but I don't think it's a Tonali issue.

Actually, can we go down to ten men again? Genuinely think that might be a strat.

We pretty much are with Wolt in the middle.

That quick transition led directly to our goal.

All there team are so comfortable on the ball they just hem us in deep and there runners get in between our defence and not a dicky bird follows the run. Pep knows our weaknesses.

Been a reasonable first half, not sure how Pep gets away with being outside his area so much mind.

Same way Klopp did.

Manage a BIG club.

The treatment of Woltemade by refs is infuriating. Always the same, any 50/50 he loses is seen as fair game, any that he wins is a free kick. Fucking sick of it.

It's fucking crazy how consistently one sided the calls are.

Bit of both IMO. It’s tactics to be really straightforward but surely Eddie wants us to try and keep some possession in that last 15 minute spell when we were really struggling.

We are a million times better when we play our pressing tactics, like we were a couple of years ago :D

Trouble is we can't do it relentlessly all game long at the best of times, let alone with literally the busiest schedule in European football.

Wolte in a possession-dominant game would be an asset when played further up the pitch. Shunted out to LCM against City is throwing him under boss imo.

If the half starts as last ended the game could be gone before any changes made. Felt crucial we made one at least.

Joelinton and Gordon on early and I think we could win it. Willock has put a good shift in but Woltemade just looks completely lost and not sure he's good enough for this league long term, probably better going to bayern or Italy as pace in this league is too much for him especially as he doesn't have the aggression like Bruno to balance it out. If he was a monster but slow would be a handful.
