It won’t happen, but I’d go for Simeone.

Give him everything that he wants.

Isn't he on like £15mil a year at AM?

Pretty sure it’s how he always has set up at every club.

Well it seems to have worked for him.

I'm warming to thought of us getting Inzaghi - he already manages a PIF club.  Did well at Inter.

Unrealistic. He's in Saudi because of the mad money, we can't compete with that.

Who knows - maybe he could want to manage in a competitive league again? Many plays have left Saudi for that very reason.

It depends if that's his only modus operandi or he plays like that because he's at Palace. I don't want anyone who can't adapt to the players he's got.

Do tell...

We won’t compete with it, but we could couldn’t we ? Or does manager wages count toward PSR?

Every manager has a preferred way of playing, but unless the players fit that profile, sometimes you have to play according to the players you've got.

Would love to see him here, wouldn’t mind Kompany either.

I’d have him here if Howe went, 100%. I just assumed he was going back to Spain and had somewhere else lines up already.

His teams usually get the better of us, even if it’s a draw, they’re usually the better side. They were a joy to watch at Arsenal last week. Didn’t see yesterday’s game, thank fuck. So can’t comment there.

They are definitely professional shithouses. But then we have moaned we’ve lost that edge during Howe’s time here and we’re not sly and good at the dark arts like we used to be.

His playing style would possibly result in a lot of burn out and injuries, again. But then he also might use his squad better than Howe has and his squad has never been the deepest at Bournemouth.

I don’t watch enough European football these days. So fuck knows who a realistic option would be from abroad. From the Prem, Iraola is about the only realistic option that I’d actually be excited about.

He deserves a chance at a bigger club so why not? There is no chance of Alonso, Simeone or Kompany joining and Jose can fuck right off.

Some will say he's not as good as Howe and that very well may be true, but Howe has clearly grown stagnat at Newcastle. He needs a fresh challenge. He was never going to be here forever and even the likes of Wenger eventually went stale because of being at the same club too long.

We'll no doubt either stick with Howe or end up with somebody we've either never heard of or somebody underwhelming.

Oh, I completely agree, I was just pointing out (poorly) the irony of our current manager situation.

What about Iraola? I honestly think he’d be able to do with us what Emery has done with Villa.

Hasn't Emery done with Villa what Howe has done with us though?

Think he'll probably end up somewhere like Man U if he stays in England.
