I'm just quoting the BBC sports page mate. I've no idea truly.😆

Well I'm using Google AI!

So there is a good chance I've typed a load of meaningless nonsense! 🤣

Is that why he had to drag his foot deliberately on the ground and collapse his legs 2 seconds after the "contact"? Bullshit, modern day pen. Hate it.

Look, pens are subjective. I respect your view of it. I'm just saying he missed the ball and hit him. To be fair, just saw the one replay.

Play passive "possession" football, rely on set pieces and try to buy penalties. Even when going up against a team you're supposed to be so much better than. That's the modern way.

Agreed, I just have a view that it's a very practiced and cynical thing that is rewarded with a free shot at goal from 12 yards. Just my opinion. You're right too, the replay wasn't very conclusive but i've seen this so many times, I hate that it's become an accepted thing to bend the rules and exaggerate contact. There'll be two views on all of these probably.

Agree 100%

A foul should be when you’ve prevented your opponent from doing what they could’ve done.

Pens for slight contact and players then exaggerating that contact comically will never do anything other than leave a sour taste in my mouth.

…because modern teams are well coached in the low block and in getting men behind the ball. It’s Dick Advocaat FFS. They’re not just relying on set pieces, they’re trying to use the wings and get intricate interplay going to find a way round or through the blanket defence.

They’re not going to magically run riot. I think Germany have done perfectly well. The low block has sucked them in and Curaçao have had a couple of chances on the break, which is what you’d expect, and I think a better team will put their defence under real pressure, but they’ve done well enough today.

We'll see what happens when the quality of opposition is better.

Hate it when refs do this. Clearly a mismatch so the ref feels sorry fo the team losing and gives them absolutely every decision as a result, does my fucking head in. Just be impartial ffs
