Spanish football has been boring every fucker to death for two decades. Take the most technical footballers possible and dictate that they pass the ball sideways for 85 mins. Not really true with this Spain usually, far and away the most entertaining football in the last Euros. And the 2010-2012 champions were a decent watch imo. Paullow Posted Monday at 22:10 Share Posted Monday at 22:10 I love watching live sport around 10-1ish, it's one of the main reasons why the US Open is my favourite tennis grand slam, so I'm loving the 11pm ers. There's been a few upsets and surprise results already, so hopefully the Saudi's can at least make a game of it from a more neutral perspective. 2am is too late on a work night, so I'll record the Iran match and get up at 8 and watch before starting work (WFH), without knowing the score. I've managed to watch all the matches thus far, but I'm back in the office on Wednesday, unfortunately, so the streak will end then.
LionOfGosforth Posted Monday at 22:34 Share Posted Monday at 22:34 This more recent thing of players going down in a screaming heap, only to be back up running full pelt within 30 seconds needs a crackdown like

Has worked canny well imo.

He just got up and started running almost immediately.

Caicedo went crazy off the pitch, almost looked like he didn’t know about the rule or the ref had called the physios to come check on him. Certainly a nice rule change, most games don’t have physios at all.
