The internal doubts about PIF willingness to fund it are concerning mind. Those doubts can’t be a surprise at this point, either. The article mentions that three years in and there’s still nowt on a new training complex. The numbers involved with this are massive, and every penny spent needs to be checked off with PIF. KSA isn’t noted for timely decision-making nor for wise investment choices.

If this is kicked into the long grass as the training ground appears to be will tell me all I need to know.

If we go through this massively drawn out, exhausting process and they end up saying we cba to fund it then what is the point of being owned by them? Well IF this were to happen the point would be clear. A return on investment for them. As a fan base we get no say we are customers and the most loyal customers in the world to boot. No idea, tbf. Was having a convo with her rellies (strewth, mate, I've gone all Ozzie) last week. They live close by and their kids went there. They were on about where all the students were going to have to go instead but I'd switched off by then.

Monkseaton High is officially closing in 2026. Really poor internal design for teaching kids in apparently, only at 50% pupil capacity and losing a shitload of money https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c93q95338x2o Proper white elephant of a building, despite looking snazzy and cool from a distance Edited 7 hours ago by bobbydazzla
pedro111
I went to the old Monkey High. Left in 99/2000. Me mother still lives a stones throw away. Great times when I think back. The problem with Monkseaton and Whitley Bay is that all the council houses were sold off and now its mainly older people living there who've had their kids. Just not enough younguns coming through.
