Was at Sam Fender’s gig on Thursday. Hearing people enjoyed it last night and no doubt will tonight also. Class. Shame SJP is incapable of hosting gigs and we have to move or miss out…

Fender's SJP gigs are enjoyable because of the sense of occasion, pride in the local lad and the city centre location

As a modern venue for large scale gigs, SJP isn't up to much. The lack of toilets for women is a disgrace, for starters

If Taylor Swift played then the place would just be a massive lake of piss because 50,000 lasses trying to share approximately 10 toilet cubicles just doesn't work

But it's still absolutely perfect for football. If you want to see T-Swizzle then get yasel to London.

Beauty is in eye of the beholder and all that. But I'll argue it's not perfect for football either, it's lopsided, outdated and was criminally left to rot for 14 years of its recent history

The location is perfect. The heritage of the site stirs up emotion. But the stadium itself is a Frankenstein's monster

And if I want to see T-Swizzle, I'll invite her round to mine for a sleepover

Jarmies on. Imagine if Michelle Collins heard that me and T-Swizzle had a no-jarmie sleepover at mine. It'd cause RUCTIONS

Christ, I can only imagine what that hard face would look like in a bad fettle …

I wonder if I'll ever set foot in the new stadium. I'm 63, these fuckers need to get their arses into gear

If you are only 63 you should get about 30+ years at the new stadium, unless supporting NUFC makes you suicidal !!!

Even if they could match the East Stand with the rest of the stadium they'd still have to, absolutely, gut the innards of the current ground. As you say it's not perfect for football either.

Went to the concourse for a beer, pre Olivia Dean, and ended up in a horrific queue. Small set up, by the wall, selling water etc for cash only. Usual bar/food counter rammed. To cope with the extra they'd set up a temporary bar, by the window, serving Madri.

I'm in this queue. People walking through the queues to get from A to B

I'm "this is a bit carnage, this like"

Bloke next to me "Aye, mind it's no surpise when you see who's behind the bar"

So, this temp set up is staffed by black and brown fellas.

Me "what do you mean? That's a temp bar so they've got temp staff in?"

Him "well, they should have the regular staff in"

Me "they're probably out there, mate" pointing to the arena "or away back home from Uni. Who else is going to do it for 4 hours minumum wage?? Anyway, have you seen how fucking slow that beers's pouring?"

He did say "fair point, well made" but was, clearly, a tad racist

Thing is it's fucking shit on the concourses on match day as well.

Actually think that’s relatively balanced. Having all the ducks in a row on the stadium is sensible rather than make an announcement and have to row it back.

Appears confident on Pedro.
