Having all the ducks in a row on the stadium is sensible rather than make an announcement and have to row it back. Appears confident on Pedro. Turnbull2000
The Stack extension being reported in the Chronicle now, and was hoping the Stadium Truth would have Emerged and Spoke Volumes about the Plans that will Surprise You. Guest
The Stack announcement would certainly point to SJP continuing for a few more years as is while a new stadium is built, if that’s the intention. No reason to doubt that yet. Am guessing any new stadium would negate the need for the stack after that but you can’t deny it’s been a massive success, would be hard to replicate that inside a new stadium. Stifler
Fuck it, we should just build the Champions League Starball stadium.

It depends how big the stadium will be. If we could have a stack like venue within the stadium itself, with it’s own turnstiles (doors for non match-days) then that would allow us to get away from rules preventing us from showing the home games in the fan zones like the Stack. I do think NUFC and other clubs should be working to at least being able to show their own games (regardless of a TV blackout or not, and regardless of it being home or away) in their own fan zones with the relevant authorities. I’m a firm believer that the new stadium should have street frontage, it’s one of my pet hates about a lot of new stadiums, including Everton’s. I think having things like a Stack that is open all year round will be one way of accomplishing this. A club shop/box office, museum entrance, maybe a restaurant or similar, and of course the main entrance should be able to give us a wrap around street footage. Stifler
The Sam Fender gigs was worth £16.5m to the local economy, this despite the majority of those attending coming from the area. I think this shows that Newcastle City Council will be happy to have a new stadium that can host similar events regularly. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/19HNexSGNy/?mibextid=wwXIfr

The developer who wants to buy it for housing is struggling to get funding, Sadiq Khan sent a plea to Chelsea earlier this year to get in touch with him about the site and they have now held meetings with him. Slim
Why because they put build a new stadium after expand in the notes?
Stifler
Yeah, but to be honest even as a fan it became clear later on that a new stadium was the way forward. With PSR changing, it means that we have to maximise every revenue. It also became clear that an expansion won’t be enough to satisfy demand. Since the Dallas Cowboys built their stadium in the late 00’s, and a more updated version arrived over here with Spurs’ stadium, then Real Madrid’s’, and Barca’s it also changes what is required from a stadium, and what is required, isn’t what SJP expanded or not can provide. Slim
I honestly don't think just because they put build a new stadium after increase the capacity. Is any evidence that it wasn't the plan to build a new stadium? I'm sure the plan would have always been to investigate all options and then just decide which one the best is like. Any sensible person would?
