On September 7, 2023, the club took control of the project, appointing Rayner Rowen Construction to complete the stand using as many of the original subcontractors as possible. In October 2023, Liverpool announced that the upper part of the new developed stand will not be open to the public "until the end of 2023". On November 23, the club anticipated half of the new upper tier would be available for a Premier League match against Manchester United on December 17, 2023. Civil and structural engineers will need to do wonders - but the laws of physics don’t change.
