Still not 100% on the capacity. On the face of it and extra 13k isn't bad but how much of that is going to be an extended hospitality offering? Maybe it’s 65k plus hospitality? Optimistic Nut
65k all-seater probably equates to 70k with standing once the 1 seat to 1 standing ticket eventually changes, which seems inevitable in the next few years? Everton seem to have accounted for that with their new ground.

Decky
65k is ok if there's room for future expansion included in the plans. If it's 65k locked in then it's the wrong move.

80
Humour me - any chance part of what's caused the drag on announcements with all this is it's Yasir who wants to go big with a new stadium and Eales and co. who have been trying to talk him down to something more MBA-approved? Stifler
Nah. I think they are just getting their ducks in a row first. I’d imagine that they will want to be as close to possible to putting in a planning application as it’s announced as they possibly can be.

Gonna keep living in my dreamland for the time being. Checko
Again, I don't want to be too demanding and set expectations too high, I just hope it'll be fully sandstone-cladded to fit the area, there'll be a moat around the stadium to increase biodiversity and because it would look sweet, and for there to be a massive statue of Alan Shearer teabagging Niall Quinn outside the front entrance, just for the lolz. Think a greyhound track's a good idea too.
