Lagerstedt
The joint venture between Pompey and Sellar Property Group will create a superb 36,000 all-seater stadium, over 1 million square feet of waterfront apartments, a 1.5 acre new public space together with a mixture of complementary leisure uses, restaurants and cafes. http://www.pompeyfc.premiumtv.co.uk/javaImages/f0/a1/0,,10396~3187184,00.jpg http://www.pompeyfc.premiumtv.co.uk/javaImages/4e/a3/0,,10396~3187534,00.jpg A little bit over the top, no? Guest smoggeordie
That's a shit ugly stadium. Looks like a guy with a squint has tried to copy the Allianz Arena.
M4
That certainly looks very ugly. They should try renovating the Fratton area instead of piling even more stuff into Gunwharf Quays.

Dokko
Another club with ambition, moving forward and building for the future. Glad its only 36,000 tbh. Might look a bit strange, but i reckon it will look a lot nicer than the IKEA grounds like SOL, Riverside & St Mary's etc..
johnnypd
is that a block of apartments wrapped around the ground? those with apartments facing in aren't going to have the best view in the world ...

brummie
Looks fantastic. At last, a new stadium that doesn't look exactly like every other identikit bland-o-drome.
Greg
To give an idea of location and why it will cost so much to build if it is to be built, can't see it happening to be honest. http://img353.imageshack.us/img353/7628/fp7lc8.jpg

Lagerstedt
That's a shit ugly stadium. Looks like a guy with a squint has tried to copy the Allianz Arena. The new stadium is being designed by leading international architects, Herzog and De Meuron. The Swiss-based firm is responsible for both the Beijing National Stadium, which will be the centrepiece of the 2008 Olympic Games, and the Allianz Stadium in Munich. Karjala
will it have the option of floating around and sailing to Russia to get some more fans to fill it?
Greg
Parking under the stadium and ferrys to take fans away from the stadium according to the press conference.
Disco
Would be better off redoing Fratton in my opinion as that seems unnecessarily expensive and especially as they'll have to fill the sea in. Not very good transport access down to Gunwharf either and where are these ferrys gonna take people? Gosport? I.O.W? Not very convenient for the masses. Isnt it going to be right next/in the HMS Victory site n all. Certainly ambitious like/
Disco
hope global warming doesnt get to bad either otherwise its gonna be fucked.
Karjala
they could sail the stadium North, for when teams such as Nufc, Scum, Manure, Liverpool etc have away games with pompey, lessen the travelling time.
shido
looks a bit mental with the thing that curves upwards but good for them...doing something different..and thats such an incredibly MASSIVE step for them...hope its not wasted by them going down in the next few seasons... Too bad its the longest journey away toon fans have to make
