Guest johnson293
Well, I still think/hope Allardyce will end up here. Man City may have been a club he'd like to manage, but would it be his best option, with a potential takeover looming, and a new owner who may not want him as manager? One good thing I see about his possible arrival here, Freddy obviously wants him, and is offering him a fortune to come - the alleged £3m/year. This puts Allardyce in a great position of being able to dictate to Shepherd to a degree. Whereas the previosu two appointments (and Sir Bobby near the end) have been 'puppets' for Shephedr to control, I think Sam will be able to have a bit more control. Lets hope some sort of 'gentlemens agreement' is in place, if nothing has actually been signed yet. MJ
Skirge
Big Sam is still kicking himself alovrt the shop, Pearce went 5 hours to late and he has already signed with us and sharred a pie with Freddy to celebrate...

jackyboy
Stuart Pearce, ex Newcastle player, understands the area and the fans, reminds FF of Kevin Keegan.............................oh fuck, I'm dreading this now
Belfast Boy
Relax, if Pearce was going to be the new manager we would have paid City a few million in compensation rather than letting them sack him.

Ritchie
I reckon Allardyce is already a done deal to come here, the City job being available won't change that. agreed.
Dr Spectrum
OK, seems like the Allardyce panic is over. Looks like the early front runner is Claudio Ranieri. He's been "seen" multiple times (Or someone is full of shite) and is the favourite with most of the bookies (As little as 2/1 with Ladbrokes edit- 6/4 since I've started typing this). Of course those could be linked if the bookies read the forums...but he would probably be my choice, get some entertainment value back...altho I'd be concerned that he might not flog Corradi. Quite like Ranieri tbh. Always came across as a decent bloke when he was at Chelsea, despite my initial urge to hate him! Might be the man to turn things around but I'm sure other names will be thrown around.
toontownman
Tinkerman is a good bet, although its been a while since he has been succesfull, things went horribly wrong when he returned to valencia. Good manager, nice guy. Wouldnt rule out Jewell or Coleman for the city job, although depends who is investing in them, they will more than likely appoint johnny foreigner. Well...he's now the favourite at every bookie who is running a book on this - low as Evens at Ladbrokes, highest 7/4 at BlueSq. Tomorrow's papers should be interesting. That 2nd Valencia spell is really the only blemish on his record. Would have him in a hearbeat.
toontownman
Yeah I think he would be a nice fit for the club, his name has always cropped up in the background here when we sacked SBR and Souness. Id prefer him over Jewell, Pearce, coleman or the majority of british managers about.
