I'm not one for this ITK s****, but apparently - and this is from a source who pops up now and then on Villa sites and posts 'ITK' that turns out to be true with an impressive regularity - Villa and West Ham have both agreed terms with Chelsea for SWP, and it is up to him where he goes.

The interesting factor is that Villa are apparently offering 45K a week, and West Ham are offering a rather desperate 75k, so it is going to be that kind of decision. Still, it worked with Ashley Young.

Obviously, Spurs are also linked with him late on, as it is THE LAW that 95% of players thought to be close to joining Villa, Newcastle or Everton MUST be also linked with Spurs ;)

And it's also THE LAW, that these players only don't go to Spurs because they didn't offer enough.

Liverpool first offer is 15 mln Euro, Ajax started the negiotiations stating that they want 20 mln Euro.

NAC Breda has Lee Holmes (20 years old) from Derby Country on trial. Youngest player ever in the first team of DC, former captain of Englund under 19. Loaned out last year twice. Wonder what went wrong with him, somebody knows?

Kamara signs for Fulham 6 Million

Wigan agree 5.3 million fee for Koumas

Mental. I dont know why Fulham didnt just keep Coleman and give him the money to spend if it was available all along. He wouldnt have wasted it on shit like Kamara.

Wow ... I don't think Babel will be too pleased to be playing on the wing! Doesn't he see himself as more of a striker?

Or is Rafa thinking of binning Crouch?

Unproven in the premiership.

Babel will be deployed on one of the wings rather than a striker Id imagine. Looks like they are holding out for more like 13m for him though, crazy compared to what we were bidding just in January.

You would think he had finished top scorer and player of the World Cup, rather than decent in the U21's European Championships.

Cisse seals switch to Marseille

Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has confirmed French striker Djibril Cisse has joined Marseille on a permanent basis for a fee of around £6m.

The 25-year-old spent last season on loan at the Stade Velodrome.

West Ham, Bolton and Portsmouth had also been chasing Cisse, who cost Liverpool £14m in July 2004.

Cisse will link up with former team-mate Boudewijn Zenden in the south of France after the Dutchman moved there on a two-year deal last week.

Took a bit of a hit on that one.

suprised they got that much tbh, they took a hit because they spent a ridiculous amount in the first place.

If people can keep this updated it'll be fairly useful as im painstakingly updating my FM database. Really really slow work filled with many accidental omissions. Plus, im not even bothering with the loser tranmere to swansea level transfers.

This will be interesting to see if Wenger is willing to let Fabregas leave. The natives will be getting restless.

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premiership/arsenal/article2051312.ece

Real Madrid will further unsteady the ship at Arsenal this week when they ask about the availability of Cesc Fàbregas, the midfield player. The Spanish champions, in renewing their interest in a player whom they tried to sign last season, believe that Fàbregas is ready to move because, like Thierry Henry, he does not want to be left at the Emirates Stadium beyond the tenure of Arsène Wenger, the manager.

Real will use planned discussions with the North London club about the future of José Antonio Reyes to inquire if they would be willing to sell the 20-year-old midfield player.

Yesterday, Real installed Bernd Schuster as coach and said that Fàbregas would again be top of their wanted list. They also plan to step up their bid for Arjen Robben this week after Chelsea signed Florent Malouda, a potential replacement for the Holland winger.

One source close to Predrag Mijatovic, the Real sporting director, told The Times that the club understand that Fàbregas feels that he is in the same position as Henry before the France striker’s £16.1 million move to Barcelona.

Wenger has yet to extend his contract, which expires at the end of next season, and Fàbregas fears that he will be left at the club without his mentor. It is believed, therefore, that the Spain midfield player does not want to turn down a move to one of the two footballing giants from his country because a similar offer may not be available again.

The Spanish club understand that Fàbregas could speak to Wenger this week about his desire to move on and Real would be willing to offer about £27 million in a deal that would also take Reyes, the former Seville winger, who spent last season on loan with Real, to Madrid.

Schuster said of Fàbregas: “As a coach, of course, I like him. He plays in a position I played during my time as a player. He has learnt a lot in England with Arsène Wenger, a coach that I know personally and someone who has brought out the best in him. He’s one of the few players in that position who can open up the opposition and carry a team.”

Last season, Fàbregas, Robben and Kaká, the Brazil playmaker, were identified as Real’s big summer targets, but the club failed to sign any of them. “Kaká is a dream – I don’t know if we can sign him,” Schuster said.

But regarding Fàbregas, he added: “We’ve always wanted a player who can change a game from midfield. The squad we are going to put together this year will mean we don’t have to worry about who other clubs sign.”

Robben has admitted that Real are interested in signing him and he said: “I’ve known that Real Madrid have wanted me for some time, but at the moment I’m a Chelsea player, that’s the reality. I’m OK at Chelsea and this matter has to be treated with utmost respect between the two clubs. I’ve got to join in with Chelsea’s training and that’s what I’ll do. Those are the orders of the club.

“But it’s obvious that we are dealing with two European institutions of the highest level that are always a force in the Champions League and for whom any player would like to sign. I don’t know if there has been any contact between the two clubs and, if not, then I will be a Chelsea player for the next two seasons.”

Mijatovic insisted that Real will abide by Fifa regulations and that no contact would be made with players who are under contract. “We have our desires – the players that we want – but we know that they have contracts with their clubs,” he said. “We always try to respect the laws of Fifa. I hope this month we can put together the team that we want.”

Hinting at the likelihood of a frosty response from Arsenal to any approaches for Fàbregas, Mijatovic said: “Things will move on this week – be that for better or worse, I don’t know, but things will move on.”

Just shows how utterly desperate teams like Fulham and Wigan are to sign someone that might give them a slight chance of not being dead shit and going down. Both their squads are piss poor

Diomansy Kamara and Jason Koumas sold for £12m. Just what the fuck is football coming to?

i really don't get it either. I mean, I don't think Joey Barton is a stunning player by all means, but valued less than Diomansy Kamara?! madness i tells you.
