The defense picks itself at the moment, really. Well it should do; just that we're in pre-season at the moment. But given the situation at the moment, Nobby should be the right-back really. With Geremi absolutely wasted not being in a midfield role, the only other alternative would be Carr. A right-handed supply of Nobby, Milner and Geremi at the right of centre-mid - to Owen and Viduka - is potentially immense. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Sure we will be playing 4-4-2 at home and 4-3-3/4-5-1 away. But all games will depend on the oposition. Still think we will add a DM in addition to the defenders incoming. Diop/Faye looking likely possibly both. I cant believe the competition for places we have already. Not that I dont rate Butt, I like the idea of Diop or similar as lynchpin with any two of Smith, Barton, Geremi and Emre infront: It will be hard keeping everyone happy, even prior to Dyers departure I didnt know where he could fit into our starting 11. Its hard to find a spot for Milner, Solano and N'Zog in the 4-3-3 if we play 3 Strikers up top. Rozenhal 5. Taylor 7. Milner 11. Duff 6. Barton 8. Emre 9. Viduka 10. Owen Question marks there though whether Emre and Barton would work, and I didnt put Cacapa in (assuming he's signed) because I've not seen him play.
