Also very possible that it won’t actually take £50m to get him
-
Elanga, Guehi, DCL and a Wilson extension coming up.
-
Can we sell Murphy for £60m then?
-
I have to admit, as much as I think people are massively underrating him I wouldn’t be happy spending anywhere near £50m for him. We desperately need more quality on the ball to become more comfortable in possession. I would personally like a player on the wing like Dibling who is much more technically gifted but I’m confident Eddie would get him playing the best football of his career
-
Should we give him 200 grand plus a week as well?
-
This is why signing anyone decent from the Prem is a non starter, as clubs wants silly money. I'm sure it's Howe's preference but it just doesn't make sense financially.
-
Agreed, not much chance we go that way. We will double down on how we already play (not a bad thing). Would love us to try and adapt though, we are desperate for players comfortable on the ball.
-
No he's absolutely class. Please buy for £50m. Gives us some more money to spend this summer.
-
If it's 50 million like fuck would I sign him. Bad news day if true, first news on Wilson possible staying (unbelievable if he does) and then a player who is worth nowhere near the fee being quoted by Hope. He's a regular substitute for both Forest and Sweden. Hopefully both sets of news are wrong
-
If we were to sign him I’d want a 10 in the team for sure. Our main issue this season came against teams that sat back. I don’t think Elanga would massively help with that unless we get a quality playmaker
-
agree with this. If Howe can do to him what he's done to Gordon and Murphy he'll be incredible here. My only issue would be that if the club are insisting on signing these players (Elanga, Mbuemo, Guehi) from league rivals then I really can't be chewed to listen to them twist about PSR.
-
I mean, this should go without saying, but it’s a bit boring
-
That should probably be the mantra we all take, but it would make this place considerably more boring.
-
There’s Elanga, and there’s Elanga trained by Eddie Howe. Got to trust our manager’s judgement - only he knows how he wants to play him and will have a good idea of what he can do.
-
Isak goes down injured and we trot out DCL Wilson Gordon Elanga
-
If Howe wants him, that’ll do for me.
-
During this season I was watching Swedish television where they were talking about Elanga and how well he had done. The pundit then asked the others if they could see him playing for the top clubs in the PL or in Europe. They all said that he’s been fantastic for Forest where the team was built around his strengths as a player. They all agreed that he’s a good player but that he lacks some very important attributes in general play and that they didn’t see any of the top clubs going for him because of this. That he was in the perfekt setup where he is. I couldn’t t agree more!

The Elanga DCL double signing with Wilson signing a new contract will break this forum

Nice to see our scouting for European options is going well
-
We'll need a striker that will feed off his crosses.

The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Postecoglu told to rack off by Spurs
The College Dropout replied to cp40's topic in Football
It’s been some time since Spurs had blockbuster signings. For a long time they had a free run at younger players the top 4/5 didn’t go for. They had Carrick, Berbatov, Bale, Modric, Dele, Kane, Son. Even Dembele and Kyle Walker. Now the chasing pack is a lot smarter. When they hired Poch and everyone else had the Bruce, Pardew, Allardyce etc. Spurs still have their pick - Bergvall, Gray and others signed for a lot of money.
