Players have teams that deal with all this stuff. They'll know what he wants and if he wants to move (seemingly he does). So it doesn't matter if he's on holiday. We won't be getting anywhere close to actually signing him until we get into July anyway.
-
Guessing it'll be the clubs & agents doing the talking? We probably already know if he's keen or not.
-
£45M was the first bid that was rejected. Don't think it's been confirmed if we've gone back with another yet.
-
If JP can play from the left then letting Barnes go might make sense, although given the market for a player of Barnes profile might be soft.
-
Followed by another one… We ain’t doing anything if the player IS still on holiday. Would be madness if others are sniffing about.
-
I would drown kittens to see seven headed beast of Isak, Gordon, Barnes, Elanga, Pedro, Murphy and Osula next season. Isak aside, there's not really much "pazazz" or "star power" but they would all work their bollocks off and hunt the oppoisiton down in packs like demonic wolves.
-
What is our bid supposed to have been, 50 million?
-
Knowing we still need a centre-half...surely if we're in for both Pedro and Elanga then someone has to go out for decent money (Gordon/Barnes maybe)?
-
Meanwhile I'm busy think about Howe pay the 150m for him Trafford and Elanga
-
I've liked a lot of our links so far but this one is by far the most exciting to me. Spent quite a lot of time thinking about Isak/JP link-up over the last couple of weeks

This was my overwhelming feeling after the second too (but not the first) (oh and it happen) -
Brighton will eventually come down in price on this one, it’s just a case of whether someone else jumps in ahead of us if we delay. If we want to wrap it up early we have to pay a bit more. I can see pros and cons to pushing ahead quickly to guarantee the transfer and also to waiting a bit more at the risk of losing him. Personally, I’d wait, get him at the price we want to pay, and if a Chelsea come in, so be it. Was genuinely excited at this link 3 years ago, and remain excited now. Remember that dark day in Jan 22 when he equalised in the last minute.

With Harvey Barnes ready to come on against tired legs.
-
That’s what no football does to him
-
I'm really on the fence about this one, too many unknowns to process and it's a lot of money for a role which doesn't currently exist for us. That being said Big Joe seems to have fitness issues and I really like the idea of playing with another talented attacker.
-
Eddie won't pick a side based on last seasons performance or "ooh play the new kid" he'll do it based on the needs of the game who's doing the business in training. He'll pick what he considers is the team likely best suited to win the game.
-
Always thought he looks better the number ten area, than he does as an out and out striker. Think he'd be great in a 4-4-1-1 or a 4-2-3-1.
-
Out of all our potential signings, this guy is the one im most excited about. Hes got everything to become an absolute monster under Eddie. I cant wait to see him become a staple in the Brazil side because of us.
-
Pedro offering this plus Trafford offering the ability for us to play out from the back has me excited that we're going to see some new dynanism in the team next season. Exactly what we need
-
Isak, Gordon, Pedro and Elanga on the counter would be terrifying for any defence in the world.
-
Liking the thirst traps they’ve been posting on Instagram. Expect things to ramp up in the coming days with a follow, however sliding into their DMs is not ‘imminent’ according to my sources.
-
Aye, although they want to sell so that should strengthen our hand.
-
Three sources have reported now that they're circa £10 million apart in valuation. You'd imagine it gets done, granted I think Bloom will get what he's after, he usually does.
-
Disagree. It's a new season, we're likely to have a fully-fit Botman, a £50-60m right-winger, they start.
