  1. Past hour
  2. Despite their size, I think they are in a bit of trouble with all of this now. Their has been mostly fucking dreadful - they can’t keep that going forever
  3. Maguire has a point, of course - you do actually have to be a good seller as well as a good buyer. Chelsea and Man City’s sales have mostly come from spunking fortunes on as many good young players as possible and flipping them for profit - and PSR loves that approach. Other than Minteh, we’ve not been good at selling players (including older ones at ‘peak value’). You don’t get to where our owners claim they want to get to by buying players who you intend to keep forever - you buy them with an eye on a sale later.
  4. Its not like its a great skill or something anybody can deploy. Its a result of being allowed generations of massive investment as the 2nd club there backs up. Seems like a solid financial plan. Allow massive investment for a few years that allow a club to create new revenue streams to expand their horizons and live within their means. Rather than something to forbid at all cost.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

If those are the ONLY two then that's an truly awful window. If they are two of five then it's decent.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Did the new league year start officially?
  8. DCL is shite. I would rather Osula plays more often.
  9. The mishandling happened the season before. The fact we missed out on Europe enabled the cup run and higher league placing last season. This season it's back down to mid table unless the squad is bolstered....with the caliber of players such as Minteh and Anderson. Are you trying to say buying a third rate Greek goalkeeper and losing two prospects was good business?
  10. Says the guy complaining bitterly about "disastrous mishandling" right after a season in which we won a trophy, qualified for the CL and are in the best shape we've been for decades.
  11. I always thought that this was Staveley’s greatest strength - negotiation of transfers. Shouldn’t be a surprise tbf - deal-making is her role!
  12. Yesterday
  13. A month of diddly squat happening. Count me worried.

    2025 Gold Cup

We're gonna get our dicks ripped off in the World Cup.
  15. I just hope that we'll eventually have a squad full of top shaggers, it's all that matters

    2025 Gold Cup

    Fucking hell man.
  17. I would hope DCL would be someone who could step in for himself, at the very least.
  18. You can look yourself, if you think I'm going to list numerous players just for your satisfaction, then you're kidding yourself. The fact that you can seriously advocate DCL as a player capable of being a step in for DCL shows me you're just clueless. Also that you keep going on about priority positions, ignoring the fact we have just made a 50 million bid for Pedro, shows again that you're clueless. Now jog on and order your DCL pin up for your wall.
  19. DCL is worse than Wilson. I’ve never seen the former play well and his stats speak for themselves. I’d pick Osula over DCL any day.
  20. If we loan Miley out we need 2 midfielders. But i agree the RW should be someone who can play up top. Mbeumo would have been a lot better than Pedro bc of this. Our squad is way too thin for UCL games. We will have a drop again in results if we dont bring number of bodies in.
  21. And the fact that you are giving no examples of what these ”quality players” are that we should be after, tells me enough about your knowledge. I dont think DCL is any worse than Wilson, who was offered a new deal and played a part last season. I take you more seriously when you tell me who should we look for

    2025 Gold Cup

You gotta be fucking SHITTING me.
  23. Would be very surprised if we signed Kudus
  24. Yep, we've had tremendous success with the non PL players but the key with all the PL based players we've signed is that they've all been 'stressed assets' somewhat where we've taken advantage of a situation like vultures Tino: Relegated and suffered horrific injury Hall: Slipped way down the pecking order and Chelsea need a PSR flip Gordon: Everton were desperate for the funds and AG forced the move Barnes: Relegated with Leicester and no other big team was in for him Pope: Relegated with Burnley Kelly *shudders*: Free agent and not even Chelsea would've paid him what we were giving him Targett: Fell out of favour at Villa Even with the foreign signings, we only had a shot at Isak and Tonali cause Isak had a pish season prior to that and AC Milan may or may not have been privy to some impending news! Essentially, what I'm trying to say is: "Hey Newcastle, have you considered buying very good players for very low prices" 😄
  25. PSR’s working exactly as it was designed to. The cartel clubs are ring fenced and play by different rules in the transfer market to the rest of us. Our way through this is - to invest in young talent - hold on to Eddie at all costs - grow our income. This is the end game and will be heavily dependent on the two points above. We, basically have to prove that money isn’t the only way to success, hard though it will be.
  26. Looks like we need to look abroad again, any obvious targets we can't compete with "the big 6"
  27. Have a look at almost any team in the top leagues of Europe for examples of better players. You haven't got a clue on what we spend or how much that we have to spend. We also just it a bid of 50 million for Predo who is not a GK, RW or a CB, which makes your claim a mockery also. The fact you are actually advocating DCL as acceptable is laughable. DCL
  28. I agree, but we have done that with Isak, Bruno, Tonali, Botman and others. It’s not like we’ve only signed PL players.
