  2. I got Sporting Lisbon (a) Olympiakos (h) Leverkusen (a) Brugge (h) Inter (a) PSG (h) Athletic Bilbao (a) FC Kobenhavn (h)
  3. There's all sorts of reports out there. No one can know for sure which is true. Reports from Newcastle were claiming we didn't even go any further once we were quoted the fee from Brentford, and didn't speak with the player after that.

I don’t want him sold, we won’t sell him. Unless it’s an absolutely ridiculous price like around 80m or more. But let’s not kid ourselves if we get offered 80+ then he’s gone. He is irreplaceable as an individual yes, but on the whole we’d be better off when you consider what possibilities it would open up. it’s not happening though, so it’s still a win. He’s brilliant and has his best years ahead of him and he will get even better.
  5. Most reports say he’s only interested in Man Utd. If he’s turning us down, why would he suddenly be interested in Spurs because they came knocking?

    João Pedro

Brighton are very greedy when they sell, and the price is a lot for someone who mostly scores penalties and links up play. He might be Pedro but he’s no Peter the great. This is coming from someone who really likes him. I can’t stand Psr, and the cartel set up. We identified and wanted him 3 years ago and the stupid financial rules meant we couldn’t afford him at 25m, but now we can afford him at 60m. Im glad I don’t run my personal finances in the same way football clubs are forced to operate, I’d be ruined.

PSR has absolutely killed the transfer market outside of the Sky 6. Just like intended.
  8. How do you know what he has his heart set on?

I'm a big fan but can't see why Brighton (of all clubs) would sell below 60-65mil. Not sure how we can afford such amounts for him and Elanga, on top of bringing in a CB and a GK.
  10. Chelsea did want him last summer but pissed about with the fee and lost him I think. So wouldn’t surprise me if they were back in for him.
  11. It's clearly sensationalist bollocks and in hindsight it's absolutely laughable to suggest they didn't have a clue what they were doing.
  12. Gordon will have his best season yet next year. He’s had international duty past two summers, he will have a proper break now. By October people will be raving about him. CL will mean plenty of starts for him and Barnes
  13. Spurs be wasting time for Mbuemo, guy has his heart on Man Utd. Probably just making a play because they’re negotiating for Frank at same time.

At anything over 40m they'd be doing us a favour tbh.

    João Pedro

Yeah I could see that, probably with some add ons if we meet some team targets going forward.

When do Chelsea come in for him then?
  17. If sold he’d need replacing, not got any ideas on who that might be?
  18. Don't think he was wrong at the time.
  19. No need to sell this summer, if Man City still want him and he still wants a move in 2026 then it can be revisited.
  20. That was from 4 days before Howe signed, and would have been around the time Emery knocked us back.

Gut feeling is we’ll get him in the region of £55m.

As a footballer I really like Joao Pedro, and I think he slots into the team to help us become better in position and progress up the pitch. I was all in on signing him 2 or 3 years ago. I can’t help but think we have missed the boat in terms of a fair or even a good value though, and should be walking away at anything over 45m. We aren’t a cartel club and psr means we need to make astute signings. Every mid table team is demanding obscene money for good players, it’s gone mad. At the price being banded about Cunha offers so much more in terms of output, admittedly being about 3 years older. Both pedro and cunha have discipline issues, so let’s not kid ourselves about no dickheads. I trust the scouting and the coaching and would rather buy 2 or 3 development players at a cheaper price to improve the squad, than go for ready made players from gimp clubs which will screw us financially. Any player we purchase at over 50m should be raising the ceiling and walking into the starting 11.

It says 70 million Euros, which comes out as £59 million.
  24. What is he even taking about
  25. wyn davies

    João Pedro

Wouldn't take him on, too expensive and his self discipline whether during games or training is suspect and further could upset the squad.

Not a chance any club will pay £70 million, is he even worth half that ?
