Sad news that the South Shields Sunday morning league has folded. There was four leagues 20 years ago and it’s been down to just one last few years. Real shame.
-
Yakubu aye - knew there was a striker I forgot! Ravanelli left in 1997.
-
I always thought the kits looked better with white socks.
-
The crowning turd in the water pipe would be white socks.
-
Yakubu & Ravanelli a decent alternative strikeforce as well.
-
I think it looks fine and I wouldn't be surprised if it looks considerably better "on"
- Today
-
Schwarzer Mills, Southgate, Woodgate, Zeige Zenden, Juninho, Mendieta, Downing Viduka, Hasselbaink Plus Valdes, Given, Boateng, Quedrue, Ince, Ehiogu
-
Well I did say it’d be controversial 😁
-
Imagine only being able to name one centre back who is not shit from a quarter of a century, and that centre back only having played 33 games on loan for the club Also, Phil Bardsley in the team
-
Look at the state of most expensive signings in PL history only VVD and Rice could be considered an outright success. Jury still out on whether Fernandez, Caicedo and Gvardiol will ever live up to their billing, but as it stands they hardly represent value for money. #15 is Havertz to Chelsea fwiw
-
Gee whizz, thats utterly pathetic. Even if all those players were in their prime, they still wouldn't threaten the top 4. Especially if they play the formation the article suggests: GK RB CB LB RW CM CM LF FW FW FW Not only Boro, but I dare say other dross teams like Stoke, Wigan, Swansea and Norwich probably have better PL 11s How dare these slugs consider themselves our equals.
-
With VAR that's 3 red cards for Batty on one move
-
The game really has changed hasn't it
-
Looks like the relegation shirt with jagged stripes. Swing and miss from Adidas for me but only so many times you can release plain black and white stripes.
-
Bit concerning people are so offended by Howay The Lads being on the back, its the least offensive part of the shirt and nod to our heritage.
-
Yankuba Minteh (now playing for Brighton & Hove Albion)

He could’ve played 400 times for us and celebrated with penicopter after scoring against us and I wouldn’t have given a shit. I’ve never liked muted goal celebrations out of ‘respect’. Don’t Denis Law it man. edit: as an example, here’s Shearer showing how it’s done on his first ever game at SJP … -
None taken on behalf of Ned Kelly - was just curious as to rationale
-
Was being cheap and going for the gravitas of the names, figuring McGhee's successes in Scotland would stand out at that level as opposed to Kelly who had a mostly 2nd Division career. Same with Sellars. Kelly's arguably my favourite ever player, at least on Mount Rushmore, no offence meant.
-
If he stays true to character he'll probably establish Hearts in 3rd then agree to any shafting of the other clubs the Old Firm cartel can think of - the snivling little c*nt
-
First feelings on it are that it's horrible. Maybe it's different in person but so far I've got nothing good to say about it.
-
From the 1st picture that's posted when it was folded, thought it looked nice, even like the shade of blue tbh... but the back 🙈 my God the howay the lads looks very tacky.... probs our worst jersey since that monstrosity with the blue lines going down the bottom that puma produced a decade ago lol
-
Seem to be in the minority but don't mind that at all.
-
If we win something in it or create great CL memories in it I'll think it's mint. If we're crap I'll think it's crap.
-
Sorensen, Schwarzer, Valdes Mills, Reiziger Arca, Gray Southgate, Ehiogu, Woodgate, O'Shea, Pearson Emerson, Boateng Juninho, Mendieta, Henderson Downing, Zenden Malbranque, Summerbee Ravanelli, Phillips, Bent, Hasselbaink Something like that.

The Alf Common All Stars XI. Wouldn’t be a great side, but at least it would have Brian Clough in it telling them how shit they are
