  1. In the long and distant past you could buy the bond to go with your season ticket. It not only guaranteed your seat (ha!) but also allowed you cup tickets if I remember rightly. It didn't happen with the Champions League football but I think that was after the bond. I'd be more than happy to pay extra a season for my seat for all cup games including Europe. Club you'd assume would be happy as if they did crap or majority away games, it's free cash but if they do well, it's full stadium.
  2. This suggests not https://www.statista.com/statistics/276617/sovereign-wealth-funds-worldwide-based-on-assets-under-management/
  3. It's been mentioned before that the stadium could possibly be build around the listed buildings, essentially making no changes to them so not effecting the listed status. Sounds fanciful to me but I'm sure someone here will know better.
  4. Just watched this, well done @Greggreat stuff
  5. Actually don't want us to spend to much money in January. We'll be paying over the odds with the time of year (though we'll have to get used to the prices going up anyway). Players will want to join us so no panic. Keep the large amounts of cash for the summer.
  6. Think they refused to allow that last time, see if it's the same again.
  7. Anyone available now? Claudio hasn't been slow and has signed a player straight away.
  8. I was one of the few gutted when Ashley took over. I knew alot about the man and knew what he would bring. I was sad to be proven right. We are now the richest club in the world and even if they don't throw everything at us, this is an absolutely fantastic change for our club. Allowing us to compete again and bring hope to the fans. Rather than expecting second best, we now have people in charge who have a passion for the club and are willing to move us forward. It won't be quick but just ridding us off Ashley is already an improvement. So so happy right now. Our club is back and I can't wait till the Spurs match. Howay the lads!!!!!
  9. Still opens us to the option quicker if we start now.
  10. Be interesting to see if our new owners go down the terracing route to increase capacity even by a small amount.
  11. I really don't mind if parts have to be in private if it prevents the whole host of pretend solicitors coming out and making grand claims. At the end of the day it's a fair hearing in front of somebody impartial.
  12. Yes still there are fans who complain that we got rid of Pardew. Yet it really showed the actual power of our fans we we are truly United. Egos and stop it happening enough.
  13. I mean that’s not what I’m saying at all. You put your name forward as part of the election then I imagine ?
  14. I don't think it works like that. I believe all you're doing is telling them how you want the refund so do you want cash or club ticket credit. That's why you only put one even if it's multiple. Awful system.
  15. Isn't the reason they did in all in isolation to start with and small groups so that it's not whole squads out first with it ? So it'll be the players (or coaches) plus the small group they trained with yesterday and that's it. Rest of the team and coaches will be fine.
  16. What was the piece in the Athletic about the training ground ?
  17. Apparently the clauses in the contract with the TV money are so crazy that they'll not want to cancel the season so think we just forget that happening. That's probably been mentioned more than once in here though.
  18. Be hilarious to watch if in the future the club does build out of the center. See if the £100m build was worth it then.
  19. Where is that from? https://www.vi.nl/nieuws/stam-bedankte-voor-klus-bij-newcastle-united Newcastle have been quick to respond though (for once) https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-refute-claims-approached-17125279
  20. I tend to agree - and with this type of takeover the only way these people make money is for us to improve and be considerably better than we are now. That is of course no guarantee but it’s more ambitious than trying to finish 17th every season as cheaply as possible. I believe if you can remove Sports Direct you can easily increase commercial revenue in the club. If you do this even without investment from new owners the club can meet the demands good managers require for players, training facilities etc without too many problems. That's all I want. If they make a few quid at the end fair enough. I'd happily bring back the Sir John Hall, Freddy Shepherd era where they were taking money from the club whilst still seeing investment and progression in the club. End of the day if the club can push towards success rather than settling as we are now, a share offering will bring them their money back in no time.
  21. Pretty sure it said Jurgen? No, its BEERMUNCH. It's advertising this https://www.mccainfoodservice.co.uk/beermunch/ they've been flying them over a few stadiums saying different things trying to get folks to mention it on social media. I don't think it's had the effect they expected haha
  22. Only in modern times. I have a late 80s early 90s scarf which also has Haway on it.
