  1. Despite all the guff, Charnley isn't in charge. Ashley is. Yeap, but Charnley runs the show day to day. He could be running a shambles that is preventing the club have it's own money. The wages we were paying in the championship are testament to that imo, ridiculous levels to what was needed. Whole things a mess from top to bottom. Agree totally

  3. Actually they did https://www.nufc.co.uk/news/archive/season-ticket-renewal-deadline-extended Seems pretty common for us. Maybe they should change the date in fact. Did they extend it last summer? Not that I could see no.

There was something in the press last week about him wanting a clause when he moves as well so he can make a move to another club.
  6. Any idea when that is?! I'm trying to think as it was mentioned on my renewal back in March. It might be next year.
  7. Going to be a cracking increase when the 10 year fixed price ends.
  8. Yes badly worded. I should have said doesn't Rafa have to wait until the money comes in, not the club. It's all part of the nonsense with how Ashley runs the club. Point still stands though, noubt will happen till then.
  9. Doesn't the club have to wait until the first installment of cash from the TV money before Rafa can purchase anyone else, unless someone leaves before that of course.
  10. Aren't Chelsea limiting spending a the moment due to the problems with Roman and his visa?
  11. I thought that then wondered if it was some of the 12 month loan deals which we had agreed to pay at the end of the season ?
  12. And why pay their wages through the month of May when we can hang on and save a couple of months.
  13. Be interesting to see if Rafa is simply waiting for Kenedy and Dubravka deals to be confirmed and be promised more funds before signing. Maybe I'm being too optimistic.
  14. It isn't really. It's a very tenuous link. It's about the 4-4 match.

  17. So after a day of promoting Rafa to West ham and it's odds being cut massively, Sky then come out with something almost close to, nah it's not happening. Wow how surprised am I to hear that. They wouldn't possibly push news like this to increase viewers/listeners (talksport) during this quiet period and to increase bets would they [emoji44] It's been said earlier in this week both sides are working hard to make a deal happen and that seems to have come from both Rafa and the club. Just chill folks.
  18. 100%. That's the stance Rafa needs to take. Hard to get people to agree to join the club when the managers future is up in the air though. As much as I'd love him to take the same stance. Ultimately, that still rests on Ashley's shoulders. If we can't sign players because Rafa hasn't committed, the finger still gets pointed at Ashley. No lose situation for Rafa as far as I am concerned. I want him to take that stance. But if he then stays he's screwed himself.

Pretty sure some of the club's sales this season will have paid down the debts a fair bit owed to Short.
  21. I don't think the transfer funds will be the issue with Rafa. I think he'll demand in his contract guarantees about the training ground built to his spec in a particular time frame before hes even bothered about transfers. I think he'll demand knowledge and control over wages so we don't have the ridiculous delays with transfer deals and I think that all comes before the amount of money available to him. He believes he can get who he needs on limited funds, whether that be through loan deals or just cheap buys. It's the rest of the politics and delays that piss him off.
