Those figures are my best guess at what cash has come in (or is due to), if you can refine them we can come up with a more accurate picture of the situation at the club. It's been my view that this is what Ashley wanted all along. Look at the last set of Premier league accounts. Outside the top 4, only West Brom turned a profit. How? By maintaining a championship quality squad, and yoyoing, thereby earning the premier league money or the parachute payment season after season, while never investing too much of it. It's also what's been advocated by lots of fans...spending within our means and hoping all the other clubs go bust. I've already spotted one mistake..I've included the parachute payment as extra, when we (obviously) lost the tv money and of course, gate receipts were higher last season...still £50m transfers £25m lower wage bill 3 new strips - what's that worth? Didn't we owe money out on loads of players still as well ?

I can't see people being bothered to make the effort to go and watch it really, it's a meaningless game, might as well just watch Denmark vs Sweden on ESPN, big derby and the teams are playing for something. Thought Germany was on ESPN ?

It's only the bench, Barton has played well enough to be worthy of a place in the starting 11 the same as Nicky Butt. But to answer your question on performances this season yes I'd prefer Butt to Barton in the team by a long way.

My thoughts are that Sol was told he wouldn't be the only "big name" player coming in. With that Sol assumed he'd be in a team full of stars all be it older players and Notts County would fly out of that league. By there club doing so well he might just get the chance to be in the England set up even just as a squad player. In the end he ended up being the only "big name player" and then after his first game he saw the players around him weren't certain to go up first time so he wanted out quick. Just a guess of course.

Tell that to mackems celebrating like it was a World Cup Semi or something. Mind they were out in force again and only playing a shadow Brum side........ There one of the teams where this is there good chance of silverware.

Could always just ask for letter number 3 and 8 from your password that kind of thing that the bank does. He's not begging borrowing and stealing from Barclays. We have an overdraft with them. They don't allow £40m overdrafts in the championship normally and so want to cut it by £20m to £20m. Moat is coming up with a business plan and show of funds to prove we can cope with the £40m overdraft and carry on as normal. He won't pay for the club outright as that's waste his money that could instead pay for players so instead he gets a loan for the full amount and just pays for the interest.

Guess it's then a case of how much of the loan has he paid off and can he get new investment. Theres a fair few ways he can get investment including putting the club back on the stockmarket or making it pensionable like the other group had said they were going to do.
