What's that got to do with making a profit again? "They" wanted to leave a club that is being run into the ground. You're moaning about them making a profit when you can't prove that's what they were/are after, even if it looks that way given the lack of funds coming out of us. I'm not disagreeing that Given/Insomnia left mainly because of the club's ineptitude, and nor am I disagreeing that the profit they've made on the likes of them and Milner hasn't been put to good use. I am disagreeing with this idea that they wanted to sell. I don't think we'd have spent much regardless of who left the club, and that is a sorry state of affairs. The whole squad was up for sale in the summer vis a vie Owen being touted and Barton telling us the club was trying to sell him. You are kidding right? 10,000? There are divison 4 (sorry league 2) teams with higher attendances. You mean Bradford? Blackburn got half of their average attendance, so it's not actually as low as you think.

Sadly I've heard similar (not that Shay was in Blyth) that the players regard Kinnear as somewhat a joke. It's hardly an exclusive. The players will hate the fact that we're in the position we're in. I'd LOVE it if we got Steve Bruce. That's how much my hopes have dropped.
