Well I am still not seeing Smith contributing enough. Both he and Geremi are being carried somewhat at the moment, the latter was thoroughly outshone by Butt today and Smith again failed to get into the game.

It was a very similar game to Bolton in regards to both the performance and result, there were very bright areas in terms of the full backs, but equally there are clearly some parts of the team that still need some major work and attention which you have highlighted.

When are people going to accept that the England managers job is probably one of the worst in the world.

Managers who get fired often do crazy things in the aftermath, like joining clubs they really shouldn't be. Largely motivated by the desire to get back at their former employers. Pardew was a good example last season. So I wouldn't say it would be impossible for us to get him here, were never going to fire Allardyce though.

Not a huge surprise, things have fallen gradually flat at Chelsea in the last 18 months. To many bad buys, poor football, inability to progress in Europe, losing the Premiership. He was refreshing, but now his comments and excuses have just become an irritant.
