A mixed five years, good bloke. Wish him all the best.
  3. "I can confirm we are in early stage discussions now with Yoan’s agent to see if there might be a solution that could work for both the player and the club which may see Yoan extend his service to Newcastle United, but we will know more in the coming days."
  4. Well, not quite. But possibly. "I can confirm we are in early stage discussions now with Yoan’s agent to see if there might be a solution that could work for both the player and the club which may see Yoan extend his service to Newcastle United, but we will know more in the coming days."
  5. The comments on Gouffran sounds like we'll be offering him a contract with a significant pay cut to be part of the squad with little playing time.
  6. What I mean is that if we should loan a player (I realise it's a good option moneywise to loan) I think we must have the option to buy. Say that Abraham becomes a big success and than we dont have a chance of signing him next season. Then we are back to squere one needing to find a new striker next season. That's fine if you can find the right player on loan with an option to buy. But it seems that player isn't available in Rafa's view and the most important thing is the get the player he thinks is right not the one with an option to buy. I don't really like the idea of loans without an option to buy either. But sometimes its necessary and I wouldn't say it puts us back to square one. Because assuming Rafa gets most of his permanent signings right we'll need far less incomings next season, which means we can focus more time and money on a permanent striker. Just because you don't agree an option to buy doesn't mean that a player won't be available following a loan, especially from a club like Chelsea. If anything a good season with us, even without an option to buy, could put us in pole position for a permanent transfer. See Lukaku, Romelu.

  9. Not interested in actually playing football. Fuck him.
  10. Sad but shows where Newcastle as a club stood in his career if his little lad is wearing the shirt. They still live in Newcastle and went to the club shop yesterday and they made it up for him.
  11. His first goal for Bristol City he had two men on him about 16 yards out, he let the ball run and used his first touch beat the defender, open enough space to shoot and score. Not watched the video any further yet.
  12. Man United turn down £60M bid for De Gea.
  13. Aye, that's what 'closer' means. Well, no it isn't. The comparative adjective of close is not defined by distance alone.
  14. In actual distance yes. Road and rail network means it is quicker to get to Huddersfield from Newcastle than it is to get to Burnley.
  15. missing 3. The leg breaker (can't for the life of me remember who it is ), guy in blue sliding celebration and white kit volley Leg break is a no mark but other two are two of the most iconic players of the Premier League era FFS.
  16. FFS! Are those idiots still peddling that?! http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/revealed-how-much-tottenham-are-paying-for-moussa-sissoko-and-why-mauricio-pochettino-wanted-the-a3334451.html?amp The source is their s*** 'newspaper' With absolutely no official line, made up news to satisfy the thickos. The idiot that wrote that article even clarified on Twitter after he meant they wouldn't continue to pay as if they sold him they would negotiate and get buying club to fund remaining instalments to NUFC.
  17. They aren't, just spoke to box office Elaborate.
  18. That's just not true Dummett has never played a lot at centre back for the first team.
  19. Not quite, that went to N'golo Kante. He's won the PFA Championship Fans' player of the year.
  20. Maybe he thinks he can get in the England squad!
