2 in 2 weeks isnt that encouraging either Dave. We're still going to be very short of quality and quantity come the start of the season. And now with Viduka missing we can expect to see plenty of Ameobi and Smith. I'm not saying things are looking all brilliant and rosy in our garden (like some think I am). It just makes me laugh how people read 'I'm sure in the next two weeks we will see at least two signings coming in' and only seem to notice 'two signings'. I have to say I've been very patient with the owner and recruitment team so far but if we miss out on Coloccini I'm gonna scream bloody murder. There's only so much we can take before everyone will snap.

He can't do that until next summer so we are humongous idiots if that's what we're waiting in hope of.
-
What went on there then? He went drinking with Joey Barton?

FFS Yes the club really are a bunch of wankers. How dare they sit tight on a deal where the selling club are clearly in the wrong? f***ing idiots... It's not so much the fact that we've missed out on Coloccini (I'm actually happy that we haven't caved on their unreasonable demands) It's more the fact that everyone can plainly see - we have a very small squad & need about 5 new players to come in... 2 or 3 of whom should posses real quality. We've been told all summer that the players will be bought, don't jump on the board, don't stress... But now as things are starting to become urgent, we're being told that there's a chance of just TWO new players coming in. An offseason recruitment campaign that has snared only Bassong, Guthrie (squad players) & Gutierrez so far, is really underwhelming tbf. There are two weeks remaining... I'll reserve my judgement until then, but it's not looking great! We haven't missed out on Coloccini yet and Keegan meant 2 new signings before the season starts not just 2 signings before the end of the window.

Meeting of the round table.

Try shiteam's house of imagination. They might be sold out though.

load of rubbish. even SAF isn't that petty and will see the bright side of Ronaldo leaving Don't ruin the dream. A Fergieless Manchester United is a beautiful vision. f*** off! have you any idea how many dreams that bloke in your avatar has ruined? That's harsh...mostly because it's a woman.

Why can't the bad transfers ever drag on like this? Imagine the bliss if the Smith transfer had dragged on and eventually he signed for someone else.

Wasn't it the wardrobe who scored against France?

We can't afford to wait until the 31st of August. We need him in the starting 11 against Slavery United.
-
Now he HAS to go.
-
a few weeks? mate it's August tomorrow Better to wait a few weeks to get the right player and save a few million than getting a worser player or spending money unnecessarily. i'd agree with you, but defenders like Coloccini generally grow on trees that want to be nowhere near 12th placed clubs. I'm convinced that we cannot do better than him. Agreed.

I'm sure it's in Mike Ashley's head too. There's no other reason a person could enjoy Alan Smith's existence. I'm sure his mother is even ashamed of him.
-
Maybe because you all post on our boards telling us how wonderful you are.

Then he's not suited to being a football owner. Partly true. It also means he could one day turn around and say f*** it, I want to win the Champions League in 2 years, splashing out on all sorts of galacticos Not exactly shown that kinda desire. I dunno, what about when he announced his favourite player was Alan Smith That just made me think he might be gay. or he could admire Smith's sheer brilliance with a ball at his feet Is that some kind of s&m reference?

That's always how he wins.

Never would have happened in the old testament.

Nothing to worry about. Signing Spurs players just guarantees us a minimum of 3 goals against them every game.

I'm guessing it's based on the agent saying he was interested in a move to Spurs but that Zenit want a hell of a lot more money than Spurs are willing to offer. Is their a club Arshavin isn't interested in according to his agent? No serious bid has come in for him since the Euros and his agent is keeping his name in the spotlight. Still think we have a bid on the table, probably around the 12-15 million mark and no one has gone substantially higher than that. Zenit want some magical fee in the region of £24m according to reports. Think Spurs probably offered about £12-15m and have been told something along the lines of 'offer £24m or fuck off.'
