Well I for one am SHOCKED.

No-one's saying they're shit. Just that they weren't good last week and haven't been good today.

Felt the same to an extent. They were not very good and took advantage of the fact that our defence can't handle balls in the air.

The biggest problem with Santon, other than defensive lapses (Benfica ), was not having a left foot when playing left back. Too often he and Jonas/Gouffran just passed the ball between them aimlessly down the left hand side.

I do want Austin but things have changed over the summer. We've seen the system McClaren wants to play and it's with only 1 up front. Our defence is still desperately shit and we have no wide players whilst we have two good players to play the lone striker. With a good owner it would be a bit of a no brainer but we have Ashley and therefore the remaining money should go on the priority positions. £15m at this stage for Austin would not change much since we'd still be leaking goals at an alarming rate.

I have to say the weirdest thing about Sunday was looking at our bench and not seeing a bunch of idiots. The new coaching staff have definitely been a breath of fresh air.

There was also the epic pass back for Anita who skinned two men and set up Remy to score against Chelsea. Followed by his world cup winning celebration afterwards.
