The Old Den. Stamford Bridge before refit.

Went to West Ham in the second in 1990 I think - around the ground was still iffy in those days so ended up in a back street bar which funnily enough for this thread was full of Asians and therefore safe. Was a Sunday dinnertime and they had a stripper on who decided to "borrow" my glasses and do her best to insert them into herself then popped them back on my face. Took me bastard ages to wash them.

Burnley, boxing day 79 aged 15 - fantastic day.

He played to the image and now rejects it - nothing to do with a shed load of money on Gladiators either is it Ian? Cockney wanker.

aye 4-4-2 with proper wingers aiming for a forwards head. that's going bacKwards IMO. Doesn't have to be the head - Sellars especially was more of a midfielder ho could pass to the player in the box - something we fail at far too often - looked at cut backs to men in space not happening from Martins and Geremi yesterday. There is no excuse for players at the top level not being able to pass and cross accurately imo.
-
The crossing/final ball has been diabolical all season - including recently. I expect Keegan to sign two wingers a la Sellars/Ginola/Lee/Robert - ones who can actually hit a forward with some level of consistency.

Isn't the problem (might be the wrong word) in the UK that most Muslims are Pakistani which is culturally a bit different to countries like Egypt and other African countries where Muslims do like their football?
-
I work with a Blackburn fan and they've been trying the same thing for years with very little success. I apply this to them and to everyone else - if you like football you like it - if you don't then nothing will make you.
-
They've always disliked Redknapp so I'm not too surprised. The "Interviewing lots of people" sounded like BS at the time but as a question of whether you take Mort's word against Redknapp's I'd tend to side with Mort as well. I'd also add that Keegan's comments about when he was approached support Mort.

12 points above Bolton but they have 5 games left - if they lose next week We'd need a draw at Pompey. Not being daft for the sake of it - I just want it to be sure before saying so.
-
Andy Aitken should get a mention - main man of the team that won 3 titles and nearly won the double twice.
-
I think we need 4 points - that puts us above 3 Bolton wins which is a tall order for them .
-
So what kind of cocks are the city geniuses who overvalued his business in the first place?
-
I think they did tbh. Bolton have a game in hand so we at the moment should be looking at them and Brum, and Brum lost today to give up a 5 point gap between them. Good times. Bolton's game in hand was the manc cunt defeat.
-
Its a mix - Bolton and Brum cast off and Wigan drawn back in - as well as Fulham's margin to safety increased.
-
If you take Fulham in isolation I agree - I've seen games like that under all of our managers but you have to see that that game was the epitome of what we are talking about - going to place like that to play for a 0-0 with a win being a bonus. One or two as bad as that a year are acceptable - making it your mission in life to be like that every week is not. And BTW they are his players.

Given the perfomances against the shit teams, can you once again explain how on earth we are expected to believe we would have done better with the fixtures in 2008? The best the arguers can come up with is "we may have beaten Boro" - whoopy fucking do. I'm talking about in general. In general under Big Sam it wasn't as bad as it is now in general under KK. Because in general the fixture list was against shit teams - now its evened up - how hard is that to understand?
-
Only the first two of those (though Spurs were shit at the time) and Arsenal are good results - if you use Fulham as a plus you've lost it for me.

I would have sacked him after the Derby away game - I could see exactly where we were heading with this football murderer. I'm sick of the myth that he was/is a good manager - its funny how he sells himself as a "modern" manager with Keegan portrayed as out of touch when his last season at Bolton and him time at us proves he'd been sussed. Other clubs have taken on some of the good stuff he deserves some credit for while leaving behind the "prozone is God" mantra which tells us that headless chickens are invaluable.
-
Which home games would we have won given the performances against Liverpool, Derby and Man City? Which away games wouldn't we have got hammered in considering the performances/results against Man City, Blackburn, Derby, Sunderland, Reading and Wigan? Allardyce had a fixture list which should have produced a lot more points. Keegan has had a fixture list which should have had possibly a couple more points but has been blighted by lack of confidence.

Cascarino's final goal for Gillingham. Gray's penalty.

I enjoyed the interview but thinking back now one thing slightly disappointed me. When he was talking about Ashley's "win something" mandate he said the league was out of the question. What I would have said in that situation would have been "how much are you willing to spend?" I think £40m-£50m = top 6 and possibility of a cup which is what Keegan implied. £100m = good chance of top 4. £200m = chance of title. Why not?

I;m not sure - I always like to say I hate whichever cockney team we happen to be playing at the time the most but when asked what's my instinctive answer I've always said Spurs. However I have to say I can't believe so many people on here put them ahead of Liverpool and Man U in the hate list. As well as those two I also hate Leeds, Forest and Sheff Wed more than I hate Spurs.

Father figure who Keegan trusts to ask for advice I'd guess.
