  1. They must be sick of him by now surely. I can't stop laughing at his face in my photo  I just can't see what he can possibly achieve by spending more time with the players. It's his work with the players that is causing them to be so shit. The thing that baffles me most about how shit we are is that Bruce was a CB, and we have a good group of talented CBs. At the very least you would expect us to be solid at the back and hard to break down.
  2. Cancelled Sundays off, to get the players in for more running drills no doubt. Doing more of the same shit that has led to two abject performances isn't going to improve anything - the man is a fucking dinosaur.
  3. Fuck me, Bruce is even worse than I thought, and I didn’t think much to start with. An absolute managerial masterclass in how to be completely ineffective against a newly promoted team. Tow a bow Steve!
  4. Joelinton looks every bit the £40m striker so far! ?
  5. Did it now?! Care to explain how exactly?
  6. I actually have more faith in Bruce as a manager than i ever did in Pardew - to get the number of promotions he has must mean there is a shred of managerial ability in there, but Sunday's performance was worrying. It's clear Bruce is well out of his depth in the PL and his methods are totally outdated. He arguably has, on paper anyway, the most talented Newcastle squad for a good few years and they looked completely clueless on Sunday against the weakest Arsenal lineup i can remember seeing. What a fucking trainwreck!
  7. If this is us playing attacking football and ‘having a go’ we’re fucked! We haven’t looked this unthreatening since Carver’s reign.
  8. Great acca featured on Bet365 where you predict the season's top goalscorer from each team in the PL.
  9. Similar players - Steven Nzonzi and Maxime Gonalons ;D Clearly needs a bit of tweaking.
  10. Good. He got lucky once when he built the business but nothing he has done since suggests he has a fucking clue what he's doing. IMO he's far more likely to take it down the pan when he's the sole decision maker than he is with shareholders on his case.
  11. I have said it before, his brother is the perfect example of what having that extra year of playing time will do. When we signed him, he was considered the better of the two, now his brother is. The thing is though, NUFC are never going to pay £14m for someone and then loan them out, which is exactly what Murphy needed. I think Murphy is just another example of a player who isn't quite good enough for the PL but excels in the Championship, like Gayle. These players are always going to be worth gambling on when they're young because if they continue to develop you have bargain Premier League quality players. If not, you sell them to a Championship club for what you paid for them. Murphy obviously didn't have any more development left in the tank so the gamble failed, but given the state of the transfer market i'd be surprised if we make a loss on him. Seems a nice lad and I hope he bounces back somewhere else but i'd put money on him never making it at PL level.
  12. This would be glorious. We're not allowed nice things. This won't happen
  13. Hed be good to have on the bench as a plan B I think Agreed. And you can be 100% certain we're going to need a plan B and probably a plan C too with Bruce at the helm.
  14. The one thing we know about Carroll is that he can score goals in the PL. The same can't be said for any of our others forwards. If he could stay fit he'd be a big asset so i'd say he's worth a gamble.
  15. Make that comparison for teams you'd consider will be bottom 10 or so and get back to me m8. Yeah, i take your point but i'd also argue that those other teams in the bottom 10 have better managers than we do so the playing field is somewhat levelled. Some of the players on that list are capable of doing a job as Rafa proved, but he's a world class manager. I can't see Bruce getting a tune out of our more talented players, let alone anyone on that list? Aye that's the exact same fucking point I made at the start in reply to people slating the playing squad. And yet here we are 2 hours later. I'm well confused here I thought we were on different sides of this argument.

  17. Aarons Saivet Manquillo Colback Gayle Murphy Atsu Elliot Darlow Muto? That's 9, possibly 10 players that aren't good enough at this level and i've probably missed some off. Our entire first team back up is shite so if we get some injuries we're screwed. Our new front line admittedly looks exciting but it could just as easily flop as succeed. We relied on the unproven but highly-rated Mitrovic to score our goals a few seasons ago and it cost us our place in the Premier League. Unnecessary gamble by Fat Mike and Thumbhead as usual. Fucking idiots!
  18. The best business people do it time after time after time, often diversifying into different industries when they spot opportunities. Fat Mike has done it once (albeit very well) and has fucked up everything he has touched since. I think we can safely say luck and timing had a lot to do with his success. The likelihood of him being able to repeat it is pretty slim IMO - his decision making is awful, his people skills are non-existent and he's clearly not very intelligent.
  19. Schar cost us what, £3m and i'd say he's at least as good. Maybe not so dominant aerially but I think he has Maguire pipped in pretty much every other area. Silly silly money! I wonder if they'll be in for Lascelles as his replacement?
  20. Surely if he was found guilty of doing this he'd be in bother, given that he's in the key position to influence the share price?
  21. i get that mate, but it could of happened under MClaren , he gave him £80 million but fucked it up, Bruce "may " get a few quis and make it happen? Bruce won't make anything happen. Well, maybe relegation but nothing positive.

    Joelinton

The problem with this signing is that he's been given the #9 like Mitrovic before him so we're banking on this guy being our main source of goals. His track record doesn't suggest he's capable of carrying that mantle. Even if he fulfils his potential it doesn't sound like he'll end up as an out-and-out striker and that's what we're desperate for.
  23. I don't know where the groundswell of hate for Shelvey has come from. Normally, within 5 minutes of coming on the pitch from the bench he'll play a forward pass that no one else in the side is capable of playing. Potentially his passing ability combined with Almiron's pace could be absolutely key to our survival this season. I've always liked and rated Shelvey and i think he should be one of the first players on the team sheet. As other people have touched on (and been shouted down) he is one of the best passers in the PL, hence why he was being touted for a World Cup call up not long ago. He often didn't suit Rafa's style of play or tactics but he is clearly an asset and we're pretty short of those right now.
