That's a sentiment I can get on board with. If we're pointing the middle finger at the wretchedness of the Premier League and all the s**** bits about it - fair enough - but, personally, the way I'd go about doing that is offering my support to a smaller, already-existing club. I'm seriously pondering a York season ticket, for example. Yep same for me. As I said earlier I've done the same with Stenhousemuir. if the 'alternative Newcsatle' becomes a reality or a necessity then it would get my support however. I am almost in the 'NUFC is dead' camp...almost.

I can see the arguement for this and if it was to happen then I would give it my full support. With quite a heavy heart. Personally I still think there is some slight hope that 'we' will regain NUFC after this vile owner and regime depart. Timing is the key I guess. How long he will hang around etc is up for debate. I keep coming back to the 'you have no idea how nasty we can be' quote. If he continues to make money, however much, but if he turns a profit year on year I fear he may be here for a very long time. In many ways it's up to those who haven't done as many of us have and make a stand. So I have been going to watch one of my local sides, Stenhousemuir. Felt weird at first. but it's a canny little club. Ran as a community initiative. OK, the standard is Scottish first division, at the moment! ('we' have a relegation play off v East Fife to play..Can't even pick a bloody 'second team' that's not a bit crap!') but the enjoyment has been back again. So for the time being for me it's Howay the Warriors!!
