Not massively bothered that he's going but I am massively bothered about who's taking his place. He wasn't here long enough to make any kind of impression but it's still disappointing that this has happened just as the window is opening and we, by all accounts, have some cash to spend. Not bothered about reasons why he's gone and speculation I just want to know who's coming in and is the list of targets now going to change as a result? The club is bigger and more important than Paul Mitchell

There's a few points won away that could be argued were just as handy. The point at Bournemouth with the Joelinton grab and the shouldered goal in the last minute? Plus the point at Palace where I don't think we had a SoT? It's all about the accumulation of points over the course of the season which is why I'm not utterly devastated by the Everton performance. We had some stinking games but we were also imperious for 4 weeks either side of Xmas and immediately after the Cup win. We earned a buffer and needed all of it come 5pm on Sunday. Fuck it

The mistake was blowing early rather than getting the wrong decision imo. Standing on a keeper's hand as he's shielding has always been a foul and while knocking it away from the keeper he made fouled him. Ref should/could have let it go but if it goes to VAR then I think they see the keeper's hand being stood on and give the foul anyway. Whole thing could have been handled better but I don't think it would have changed anything, the goal would have been ruled out regardless. Can't believe the fuss the club and fans are making over it

Don't think London life and Jack Grealish look particularly well suited to each other but hey ho, not our problem
-
Like everyone else he'll be judged on his results, he's had more than enough time to get his feet under the table, assess the squad and check the books to find the budget. He's also had time to contact any agents, scout targets and liaise with Howe and anyone else who has a say in the process. If he doesn't deliver this summer then it'll be squarely on his shoulders, I think it'll be a good window personally and we'll spend wisely but the pressure is now on him. The team and management have delivered the best season for decades, it's now his turn to back it up

How many generational talents did they have though? Not as many as sunlun I bet

Callum Wilson: offered 'incentive-based' contract extension (Ornstein)
midds replied to Strawberry's topic in Football
I'm just struggling to understand the logic of keeping anyone, regardless of age, experience and wages, if they're not now in a position to offer anything to the team in any situation. Wilson has been a great striker for us but it's pretty clear he's now so immobile and unfit that he's now done at this and probably championship level too. It's a shame but we're not a charity and don't need any cheerleaders I just don't get it -
I agree and he's be right - he is. I'm just thinking of a way to play one or the other or both. If he came then he wouldn't be first choice CF but he'd get plenty of time on the pitch. Having Isak doesn't automatically prevent us from going for him
-
Just to satisfy an idea I'd like to at least see an experiment of a player like Delap up top and Isak playing behind him as a 10. I'm not criticising Isak or dropping him at all, he's one of the best CFs in the world imo but I also think he's good enough to drop 15 yards deeper and get move involved in the build up. He's that good he could do it and excel at it. Would definitely like to see it at some point

Personally I couldn't give a single fuck about what other fans think. Their opinions are generally worthless to me. We've got some fantastic fans of other clubs on here and I'll read their posts every time but in general I wouldn't give a bucket of shit for the opinions of the morons en masse

Forest were overly outperforming their metrics and the regression to the mean kicked in just in time. No matter. The deed is done and we're in and Villa and Forest are not. The end.

Pick the bones out of that gentlemen. Turns out 66 points was enough but by christ we rode our luck today. The season is made up of 38 games and you end up where you deserve at the end of it all and we're in. Thank fuck for dodgy ref decisions and Man U suddenly waking up but we're in. There's lessons to be learned from today and this season but for the time being we need to reflect on the whole season and figure out a way to improve things. Now is the time to kick back, enjoy the achievements of what's happened since the Schar/Diaz shit on opening day, it's been a bit of a rollercoaster but we did it and if you can't enjoy Champions League qualification AND a major trophy in the same season then when can you? It's been fucking epic overall and if you'd told me 5 years ago we'd have done this I'd have had you sectioned. This is fucking amazing

Shocking day, shocking result, shocking performance today but we're there. Champions league football next season It's not how I wanted it, it's not how I thought it would happen but fuck it, it's now officially the best season I've ever known - Champions League and a first trophy for 70 years. Absolutely mint achievement over the course of the season. I've already forgotten about this game, I'm looking at the bigger picture, get the fuck in

Think I might just go swimming with a load of sharks to calm myself down a bit
-
It's guaranteed PL money for one season plus another lump as a marrachute for the next couple of seasons too

Can see the Forest Chelsea game being a bit of a card-fest. The pressure on everyone will be through the roof and Chelsea are jam packed with utter cunts who'll not think twice about taking a card or winding Forest up
-
There's normally one team that gets an absolute pasting on final day and I'm really hoping it's Everton's year for that today. No reason why we can't start fast, grab an early one and build up a lead. Once the pressure is off we can hopefully take the piss and end up with about 5
-
Either of the sides yesterday would need to spend £100m minimum to even stand a chance at getting 20 points in the league next season. Both of them looked a million miles away from the standard needed to survive. In fact if they get close to 30 points then they'll have had an exceptional season and vastly overachieved
-
I'm not remotely worried about the club itself but I must admit I am worried about the type of tackle that absolutely nailed Brereton-Diaz today. They'll fly into those with regularly and could do some serious damage to our better players. They'll not give a shit about a card they'll go out of their way to injure our better players, I genuinely believe that too. They know they can't compete so they'll try and kick us off the park and not give a fuck about it in the process
-
So, in a way, they were the best team in the Champions League then really?
-
Few of the cunts in the groupchat giving it XL tonight "Bet your gutted eh?" etc. Nah mate, potential CL and the first trophy for 70 years but you cunts spawning a playoff win has completely ruined it....
-
Rode their luck massively and were fortunate to still be in the game with 20 mins to go. They hung in there and stayed in the game and fair play, they're up now. I think we all know how it's going to go next season but they'll not be worrying about that for the next few months, they'll enjoy their summer, get their little hopes up and let's see how they're enjoying the Prem in about November.

Sheffield Utd have totally fucked this. Was in the palm of their hands
