Hope we stay up but if we don't I hope we plummet. A single relegation is the worst outcome, either none or 3 please.

Pilkington knows about spicy sausages.

Absolute cockend.

currently 0-3 btw.

Otamendi fucked too.

Feels like about the 10th time I've seen Kompany hobble off after a few minutes coming back from an injury.

He gave us 4 free kicks in the entire match.

He'll organise us but the players who make up our back 4 will always make daft individual errors which generally result in goals. He's an excellent manager but he can't legislate for that and ultimately this will undo us imho. He'll tighten us up as a unit but we'll still concede ridiculous goals and that won't change until we can replace the back 4.

Boro have just given up.

Pick that cunt out. Fuck me.

Poor fellow.

Reminds me of what Elland Road looked like when Leeds built their massive stand that seemed to dwarf the rest. Going back about 25 years like.

That doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Firstly that they're cowardly enough to duck out of things by hiding behind an imaginary injury and secondly that he's come in and transformed their attitude immediately and commanded a bit of respect. McClaren was undoubtedly shit but his squad let him and the fans down horrifically.

It's so excited to be engaged in the club again and actually look forward to a game. Not only has the club got a lift but this place has as well, can't wait to get into some actual football discussion instead of calling the manager and players a set of cunts. This may well be the switch that flicks me right back into it again. Yesterday I couldn't have given a fuck, today I care again, if we stay up and Benitez stays and is backed in the market again then I'll get myself and the boy a ST next season. I needed a reason and Benitez is it. Great to hear mate, will be so fucking wierd reading none angry posts from you though[emoji38] I wanted McClaren to be successful and I'd heard all about what a good coach he was and when he brought his own guys in I was hopeful he could build something but it quickly dissolved. It was clear he never had the presence or the plan to make a decent fist of it here despite having £80m worth of players bought for him. He failed miserably, he's not the first and he certainly won't be the last to fail here but he failed never the less.

He used to manage us, he doesn't any longer. What happens to him in the future has zero impact any more. Can't summon any emotion about him other than relief he's been binned.

Massively heartened by the appointment and have watched his little interview a couple of times now. Was struck by the contrast of him and McClaren, the positivity, the organisation, the plan, the goals and the knowhow to get the job done. No bullshit, no spin, no waffle. After hearing him, a proper manager, speak about the club, the fans and the players it's no the wonder the players simply weren't responding to McClaren - utter fraud (nice guy) but an utter fraud and they clearly had no belief in him or his message. I think they'll respond to Benitez. I'm not buzzing yet because we're still very much in the shit but we're looking up now and we've finally got a bloke in charge who can get shit done.
-
Can we get 2 more points from our 10 than Norwich and Sunderland can from their 9? That's pretty much the question, bearing in mind we play both of them I reckon it's about 50/50 for surviving now. That's dramatically better than it was 3 or 4 days ago.
-
Probably the best appointment that was even remotely possible to make and we've done it. I'm still a bit in shock that they've pulled it off, just wish we'd done it 10 games earlier when the situation was just as bleak as it is now. Odd to look at the dugout and see someone who knows exactly what they're doing, having confidence in the bloke in charge is an emotion I'd forgotten I even had...

It's about 3 league places higher in prize money. So what?, its far more than he's worth. Benitez is the kind of manager you pay whatever it takes to get, Moyes isn't. My point was that even a slight improvement in league placings would ultimately fund the increase in salary of the better boss.

That's a new one for the excuse list - 'spells'

They just fancied a trip away then? Maybe Concur just wanted to do a few brass rubbings at the Minster?
