They've just spunked £80m+ up the wall in a desperate attempt to throw money at a problem only to make it worse. What are the chances that they've suddenly clicked on that the manager in charge of the squad is the most important person at a football club and that is the exact area to strengthen? Surely, after 10 fucking years, they can see the value of investing in a good manager being better than buying a few good players? Surely they see it now? If they don't then fuck the lot of them. Absolute retards who deserve everything they get.

The amount of ill feeling between the Madrid sides combined with the sheer number of utter cunts that'll take the field makes this a recipe for disaster. Going to be brutal having to control Pepe, Marcelo, Godin etc in the biggest game of the season.

Clattenburg has been given the CL final. UEFA were obviously impressed with his handling of the recent Chelsea-Spurs farce.

If he doesn't lose his job in the next few weeks / days then he's never getting sacked ever. Appalling job done and no punishment for it = job for life.

First mistake. Refuse point blank to engage with obvious idiots on facebook, why would you ffs?

It still is for him and it's getting harder and harder to keep on saying 'no, we're not going out of protest'. He just wants to watch Newcastle...
-
Bingo, this is the crux of it. As poor as we've become our squad contains at least as much talent as is in that line-up. Getting them organised and functioning is another matter entirely.

That's the standard of the best players in the entire division.

I think a lot of genuine supporters have packed in over the last 2/3/4 years. What you have left are the die-hards, those who see the match as a social experience/badge or honour, those who go merely out of habit.. The danger is here, is that Mike Ashley has damaged Newcastle's future. You tell me why any kid would want to support NUFC at the moment, when they are a laughing joke nationally, and the club treats it's own supporters with complete contempt? My son, who's 8, has just discovered football. Has been a few times this year, and is wanting to get season tickets next year. I have to say, I'm a bit torn by it all. Snap. Really don't want to but fully aware that if I don't do something to get him bang into it he'll either give up on Newcastle and follow someone else or give up on football. It would go against everything I feel but I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place.

15 games without a goal going back to the middle of January. Absolute luxury player perfectly capable of scoring goals but has been awol for months. Clearly talented but I'll not miss him in the slightest when he moves on this summer, he's looked like he's checked-out mentally for ages.

Absolutely impossible to say how we'll do next season. Going down is a complete sea-change and literally thousands of decisions will need to be made this summer depending on who comes in, who wants to leave, will there be a new CEO, will Rafa stay, will Rafa's team stay if he does, what happens to Carr, are there any youngsters who could make the grade, what happens to the players out of contract. We'll not have a clue until the window closes in September and we know who's in the dugout. Personally speaking I think if Rafa's in the dugout I'd back us to bully the rest of the league and win it.

Seems weird to say it considering most of them took us down in the first place, but there was some genuine grit and resolve in that dressing room that basically insisted on us coming straight back up. We don't have that any more. To be fair, it's only hindsight saying that. When we went down the last time the players were getting exactly the same stick as they're getting now. Who knows what hidden depths the current crop possess? All I know is I watch enough of the Championship to be well confident of us coming straight back up - the standard is dreadful. Fair comment, but last time we (both club and fans ) actually wanted rid of the players but they mostly hung around. Can't see too many doing so this time, they're all mercenaries. Can't imagine the bids are going to come flooding in for this particular set of arseholes though. Who's going to want to pay good money for these proven cowardly wankers? Who buys this shit?

FA need to be strong and act. Lifetime ban is the only option imo.

Mapou has just scored for Lyon in their CL decider. Now 3-0 up and playing against 10 men.
-
I'm more irritated at the fact I don't care as much as I thought I would. I'm disappointed obviously but it's been coming for years. It's been totally predictable and totally deserved.
-
He'll undoubtedly have far better offers in the summer but I hope he gives us a year. Just a single year to bounce straight back up, leaner, meaner and with a bit of nous to push on. Pay him whatever he asks for.

Pretty sure Advocaat resigned like. Thought it was one of those mutual agreement things. My mistake
-
They knew they were deep in the shit after 8 games and took some decisive action. They binned the underperforming Advocaat and appointed Allardyce and he had 30 games and a transfer window to work with and 28 games later they're almost in the clear. We were in exactly the same position after 3 games and stuck with McClaren. They continued to stick with him until it was too late and we're now seeing the consequences of it. Had Benitez been appointed in October (I understand he was still at Madrid obviously, just hypothetically) we'd be laughing, his methods were starting to have an effect on results and we still could finish the season with a 6 game unbeaten run and still go down. Every single person who had a role to perform at this club since we dodged the bullet last season 'til Benitez's appointment has utterly failed. Bad appointments, bad signings, tolerating under-performance and having the lack of courage to intervene sooner. They let the situation fester when it was clear it simply wasn't working. This club needs to be ripped apart and rebuilt and it needs to happen with Benitez still in charge, he's the only bloke employed by the club who's good at his job. This doesn't happen then i'm all for another relegation next year followed by another one until Ashley slings his hook and the club gets an owner who cares for it.

We can't really complain about other clubs phoning it in when we fail to the job ourselves tbh. We're down and we deserve to be.

Look at these cunts, "enjoying themselves", having fun and seeing their team lift the league title. Off. Cunts.
