How many injuries do they have though?
-
Klinsmann for a start. That can't have been the question. Sure it was similar though? David Rozehnal is another. Christian Poulsen has played in all four plus Spain and Holland. Wouldn't have wiki'd his name to check in a million years.

Klinsmann for a start.

With a nice couple of 4-0 defeats to Tottenham along the way Obviously told them they could let their hair down.

Ridiculously good. They're sublime.

Firmly believe Ashley will do anything and everything to avoid going down. He's been forced to throw £80m at the squad, hire a new manager and coaching staff and relegation looks odds on at this stage. Away games are basically a write-off and the only thing he can possibly do to avoid relegation is bin McClaren, I don't think he particularly wants to and he'd much rather muddle along but here we are. Ashley's now staring down the barrel and I think he'll sack him out of sheer desperation and greed as we sink lower and lower.

That's football for you. Gives you hope, let's you dream about what could be, let's you taste it....then smacks you square in the knackers and laughs at you.
-
Fat pig only has one more card to play now tbh. He's thrown money at the problem and it's still staring him in the face, can see him using this break to bin him and bring someone else in. This was never Ashley's plan but he's now got no choice but to act.

You know what these lads need? A fortnight in La Manga. That'll sort them out.
-
3-0 drubbing as per. Games like this will be sacrificed and the focus is on the 6 pointers and winnable home games from here on in.
-
Not forgetting when we let our hair down at spurs...or shipped 7 at Arsenal. Obviously.

The age is the biggie obviously. If you're moving towards the latter stages of your career and you've only got 1, maybe 2 big contracts left to sign before you retire then I think it's absolutely fine to milk it and move for the money.
-
Each to their own and players make decisions on what's important to them. If making as much money as humanly possibly is the priority then that's fair enough, good on them for being honest enough to admit it. Some players want to win things, play for the biggest (traditional) clubs in the most reputable leagues and perhaps be remembered for their contribution to the sport. Nothing inherently wrong with putting money first but personally I'd want to have the best career possible and money wouldn't be the priority.
-
Also totally unable to earn a penny once they retire too. Need to earn all of the cash they're going to need for the rest of their lives before they give up the game aged 36. God forbid they move into coaching or developing their own academy or anything else like that as a means of income.

I stand corrected, you're right. 3 automatic places is too much as it is from 1 league.
-
Direct entry to the CL is already there for the winner and the runner up of the League though. Win it or go close and you're in, if you've finished 3rd or 4th then you've got to qualify to get to the group stages, think that's fair enough tbh. sometimes wish these pricks would just create a European Super League and be done with it. Loathing modern football more and more by the day.

I think Man U are going to start looking elsewhere for a new boss if he keeps this up.

Envelopes. All about the envelopes.

Enough's enough. Got to sack him if we want to stay up, that's what it's come to. You can spend as much as you like on players but if the manager can't use them properly it's utterly irrelevant. McClaren out asap please.
-
Staying up basically involves 1) staying ahead of Villa and Sunderland. 2) clawing back a 2 point gap on Norwich (or another team who start to freefall.) Not trying to dress this up as anything other than an awful season regardless of what happens in the next few months, it's been deeply disappointing but if it comes down to brass tacks then those 2 conditions are all it'll take to survive. I think we'll make heavy weather of it but I think we'll do it. If others only give us a 10% or 20% chance of doing that then that's up to them obviously.
