Pretty much this. I've got no idea of the amount he has to spend but if Ashley has promised him the lot (huge if obviously) and Rafa is happy to commit his future as a result of the conversation then that's good enough for me. Whether he carries through with his promise is something we'll have to wait on, he's got form as we know, but it sounds remarkably positive.

Brighton away for me. Most difficult fixture of the season, went a goal down, dug in and came back into it, got on top and won it in dramatic fashion. Not the most eye catching or dominant but the best 3 points of the season given the size of the task imo. Huge result.

I can understand why they've decided to stick with McDoom all season, he was Short's man and the bloke he chased for years. Sacking managers on an annual basis has worked in the short time but it's not sustainable, they need to go down, rip the club apart and build for promotion in 2 or 3 years.

There was a bloke on there last week hinting that Pickford has a release clause and it was pretty modest. Sounded fairly genuine but was probably bollocks. Imagine if they only got about 9m for their only really saleable asset?
