I really believe there’s a win around the corner. We don’t quite know where, but once it happens and we get the monkey off our backs and the shackles are released, this team will really move forward. #wait

40 points would allow us to board the roller-coaster for another year in "the quest for 40". Let's just get 40 points every year, it'll be fucking mint.

“If somebody said: ‘You’ll have 40 points by mid-April’, I’d take it,” said McClaren as he prepared for Sunday’s vital home against Norwich. “I think people would think I’d gone absolutely crazy if I turned that down. The most important thing for us is to get to 40 points. Especially with the new television deal, that has to be the absolute priority. It’s the same for 10 or 11 other clubs. It’s always the same; at Middlesbrough we used to have massive parties when we got to 40 points.” “I’m here to help this football club go forward and my opinions on that have been voiced from day one,” said McClaren, who will be without his injured goalkeeper Tim Krul for the remainder of the campaign. “Everybody knows. There’s a lot going on behind the scenes, a lot of discussions and forward planning. I’m sitting there and saying: ‘You know what – we need to do this, and we need to do that.’ The next window is very important for this club.” “We’re getting little setbacks that are causing us to disintegrate,” he said. “They’re shattering the confidence and belief. We need to address that, but I really believe there’s a win around the corner. We don’t quite know where, but once it happens and we get the monkey off our backs and the shackles are released, this team will really move forward.” He's done. It's over. These are the ramblings of a man who knows he's not up to it, he's bitten off far more than he's able to chew. 16th October and 8 games in and that's just about that folks.

That's not real. That can't be real. Please tell me he's not actually said that...

Not sure if he's lost the plot entirely yet but he's certainly mis-placed it.
  6. Just think of all of those miserable wives who are going to have to get used to spending time with their disenchanted husbands.
  7. He's not suing them for breach of contract though, it's disability discrimination so they could well have adhered to the contract. Reading between the lines, always dangerous, it's the fact they binned him almost as soon as he had the op. As in, "we've kept it quiet, quick, find yourself another club before it returns and/or you die mate. Cheers bro." We're run by despicable people. Remember Derek 'you guys don't know how fucking horrible we can be' Llambias?
  8. If anyone needs their memories jogging as to how this all started with his interviews/tweets etc go back to p289.
  9. Hope he sings like a bird. Tell it as it happened please.

  11. Van Persie!!! Took it well actually.
  12. Ooooff, what's Dutch for 'goodnight'?
  13. I want to watch players who care about the club and give 100% every game. I want to care about the club again and be part of it again. I want to hope for better and to see the board and owner strive to make the club be as good as it possibly could be. The division this happens in is irrelevant to me, battling like fuck to get out of League 1 is far more preferable to the current status quo. At least I'll give a shit again.
  14. That says more about you than any LFC fan. First time I'll do this on here, but you're on a toon forum talking s*** about Keegan. You lack a working functioning brain. Loser? Hope Gerrard's slip haunts you every night. Why would it haunt me? I've been there for many, many trophies won, and a few lost, just one of those things. I'm quite happy just to read this thread, it always makes me laugh, but HTT saying Klopp was a modern day Keegan, ffs, I had to respond to that. Surely, lacking a 'working functioning brain' would have me agree with him, when, imo, that would be delusional as well. No because anyone who has a 'working functioning brain' could see what Keegan achieved here was phenomenal and can only be viewed as a success. Yes, he took your club forward for a while, if you regard that as success then fine. For me success would have been to stick at it and win something, but he didn't. Very different from Klopp, simple as. From the brink of relegation to Division 3 to the top 3 in the PL. I think everyone saw that as success. Not sure why you're here but you're coming across as a massive cunt.
  15. Fucking wall-pushing cunts. Fuck them.
  16. Genuinely don't give a fuck any longer. Staying up year on year has seen me so apathetic it's beyond belief, I still follow the club and the results but I don't care about it now, the emotion it used to stir in me, good and bad, has gone. When I bother to watch us I generally watch in silence, no celebrating goals, no anger about goals conceded - nothing. If staying up is going to mean this continues then fuck it, let's go down 2 or 3 divisions. At least I might care again, because the current state of play is fucking awful.
  17. It's no secret though that Krul is a walking serial injury these days. Should have been better prepared for that... unless that preparation was Karl Darlow. Lack of proper investment eventually comes back to haunt you though. Every single aspet of the club has been "that'll do" for so long that it's become accepted. Krul's ok, don't really need to replace him or give him competition so "that'll do". As long as it's not horrendous then it's tolerated, encouraged and accepted. "Just don't finish in the bottom 3" should be the new club motto. f*** them. Yep, they play the margins and this margin was only having one top flight goal keeper on the books. Oh how it has bitten them are the arse yet again. Bingo. Perfectly put. Neglect the squad and pay the price.

  19. Injuries happen unfortunately. There's no-one to blame but it's annoying when the only current fit keeper absolutely fucking dogshit. Cheap to buy + cheap to pay = losses when they're called upon. You reap what you sow.
  20. Whoa, whoa, steady on, he's not dead, he'll be fit again eventually. Why buy a replacement? Who do you think we are, Man City? We'll need to muddle through to August and wait for him to get fit.
  21. Would love to see someone hockle on that sign as they're passing it. Big fucking nasty greener dribbling down the badge. #FuckAnfield
