Soft cunt got decked by Stevie Bantz. 1-0 to the mags. Yoink, having that.

Plus even if you take a year or two out like this chump/Parker/whoever you generally end up at a similar club reputation relatively unharmed and another signing on fee in your pocket. Aye, massive wage rise + chance to win things and the perception that they've "made it" by signing for a top level club would be very tempting for a 22 year old or whatever. If it works out then they'll have a superb career, if it doesn't then it's a backward step and hope to catch the eye of another big club in a few years time.
-
Must be hard to refuse the massive wage rise though. Bet some of these players get offered double or even triple their current wage to go to City, Chelsea et al. Turning them down, even though they must know it's not a great career move, would be difficult and I can understand why they'd do it. One of the reasons I hope Barkley has a good season.

Albino power!

No doubt we'll be over there the same year Ashley launches Sports Direct in the States.

Absolutely sensational last few pages.

No idea what their agenda/slant is tbh mate. They've been used to manipulate the fans before and this little snippet may have come from someone who needs to pacify fans who believe Pardew is untouchable or bullet-proof? I just don't trust anyone at the club any more. It's sad but I'm highly sceptical and suspicious about the sentiment and the motives behind every single thing the c***s at the club come out with. To be fair to Douglas, he seems to have his finger on the pulse a little more these days. He was certain at the end of the Summer that we'd be going on a 'spree' with transfers when everyone else was certain we wouldnt. Im not saying he's right, but he's just coming across a bit more credible these days. Could be something in it. Douglas isn't the one who's peddling bullshit, he's heard something and is passing it on. Just doubt the veracity of what he's heard.

Quite a few Mackems in Bishop Auckland isn't there? County Durham is all Sunlun marra. Massive lads fans etc. "Only til 1992 marra before the skyboys changed allegiance. Seen a mag wearing his shirt in Shildon the other day. Nearly crashed me robin reliant." I have Shildon Mags as relatives. Impossible marra, Shildon is a Sulun stronghold. 95% red & white. FTM.

If he stays away from the bottom of the league then he'll not be sacked. I take murmurings like this with a large pinch of salt these days, this has been written with the intention of reassuring the annoyed fans that there is a consequence to under-performing. Honestly don't believe there's much more pressure than there has been previously.

10th. Owner was delighted.

I reckon he is, aye.

Guessing that they'll try to tie it in with flogging the second half as Xmas presents? Not that it matters anyway, won't be getting one for a while yet. Out of interest, what's ur criteria for going back, Pardew gone, Ashley gone? or Pardew gone a decent manager installed and Ashley showing more ambition? Haven't got one particularly. I'll certainly not even consider it whilst Pardew's there - that's out of the question. If Pardew goes I'll wait and see who's appointed and if it signals a change in ambition other than just surviving in mid-table obscurity for the foreseeable. Appointing a manager who wants to develop players and play a nice brand of football could also sway it?

I think he's improved massively on the player he was at Sunderland. Honestly thought he looked like a nothing player, never stood out as being particularly good or bad at anything and just drifted through games. Someone's obviously seen something in him because he looks 10 times the player now.
-
Fairly large transfer fee and a 5 year deal for a player who's had about 10 hours of football in the last 2 years is canny mental. Hell of a risk.
-
The fact that Pearce is a bit pissed off is a very encouraging sign. Never seen either of them play but it all sounds disconcertingly positive.
-
He's a good player but it's a gamble. Whether the fee is £10m, £9m or whatever, it's a lot of money for a player who's barely played for nearly 2 years. When he left Everton he looked a real prospect but can't have developed much and has had 5 hamstring injuries in the recent past. Could go either way tbh.
-
They can have 10. Fucking take the cunts. Do they need a manager and/or coaches too?
-
That role could and should be given to Ben Arfa who actually has the balls to perform against the big boys. On the contrary, a fit and motivated Ben Arfa should be starting.
-
The only possible role, and even then it's a long shot, this bloke has at the club is to be put on the bench and brought on to exploit his pace against tired defences when we need a goal. The odd flash here or there doesn't erase the countless appearances where he's been fucking dreadful. He is what he is and he's not going to get any better.
-
He's either got to be given a decent amount of pitch-time this season or send him out to the Championship for a year. He's looked good and needs to continue playing competitive football either here with the first team or a lower level on loan. He can't be allowed to just stagnate on the fringes on the squad but never playing. It's one or the other.
-
They exchanged passes a few times too though. Three nice little 1-2's near the centre spot. Yeah. They were OK when on the ball, getting them involved was the problem. Didn't really help that Armstrong was playing in the most important tactical role. Never mind.
