This is what happens when pricks like Rodgers go way ott with praise for a young lad. Sterling has read all of these comments from his boss and now genuinely believes he's now worth circa £50k a week. Needs to keep his feet on the ground not big him up at every available opportunity.
-
His legs have virtually gone but if he's in that final third then he could still finish chances/loose balls. Unfortunately.
-
It'll be Guardiola. Don't think he'll go there tbh. His expedition force has already arrived. Digging tunnels under Mancini as we speak.
-
Not even a contest. I thought he'd be a bit dull when they announced him but he's ace. Must get that ticket in the post tomorrow.

Part and parcel of the game, it's going to happen. We all knew the extra games were going to stretch the squad and it's proving to be the case, you're always going to pick up knocks and niggles throughout the course of the season. The suspensions are another matter entirely though. Two stupid tackles, neither too nasty, mean we're without 2 key men for a month or so and both were completely avoidable.
-
He, like Tiote the other week, gave the ref a decision to make. Completely needless to leave his leg dangling like that when the ball was nowhere near and can understand why he got binned. Had his studs made contact it would probably have injured the cheating little cunt. More annoyed at Coloccini himself rather than the ref/lino for giving it. Needless.
-
He's never going to look good whilst we're pinging it 40 yards in the air. Especially when you're directly up against Skrtel and Agger ffs. He needs service. On the deck preferably.

In their next 10 games or so they play 7 of the current top 8 teams. The rest are 6-pointers. The excrement is about to hit the ventilation device.

Dissent. And rightly too.

Thought it was Kompany and Coloccini as the CBs?

Quite enjoyed it tbh. Never looked like losing it and we knocked it about well at times. Wasn't perfect and you could tell we made 9 changes from the derby but to roll over a good Belgian team in that manner with that set of players is decent imo. Loads of purples rested for Sunday and we've got 7 out of 9 in Europe. Not sure what more people want tbh.
-
To start with Harper, Ferguson, Perch, Bigirimana, Sammi and Obertan and still dominate one of the best teams in Belgium is pretty good tbh. Very comfortable evening and we never looked like we were going to lose tonight. Definite signs that we're perhaps just starting to grind into gear and hit a little bit of form. Augurs well imo.

Ran himself into the ground on Sunday tbf. Will probably start on Sunday too.
-
Had Gardner not put it out then it would have bounced about 2 yards from the goal-line and Shola was running onto it to stab it home on the (half) volley. Cabaye's corners are generally shit but that particular one could quite easily have produced a goal.
-
Just daft to go steaming in and clatter him like that. It gives the ref a decision to make and wasn't surprised it was a red one. Slightly harsh and some refs would have given a yellow but Atkinson couldn't get it out quick enough. Just got to get on with it.

Opposite for me. Once I wake up the nerves will have gone and I know worrying about the result won't impact on the actual game itself. You can chew yourself all day but it's pointless energy. Just wait for the game, see what happens an deal with it - good or bad. Wise words midds but I can't help it unfortunately, it's just my nature to be that way on Derby Day. As soon as the game kicks off (and as soon as I have my pint), my nerves will probably settle but until then... Don't get me wrong I've had a few nerves all week but I somehow manage to convince myself on the day that whatever is going to happen will happen. I'll check the team news at 12.30 and that will be that - gameday routine kicks in. Score first and I fancy us. I'd still settle for a point though.

Nail on head - the bitterness shines through very clearly. BTW - what is this 'lalas' stuff that some Mags go on about? :: Lets all laugh at sunderland.

Watch it finish 4-4.

Poster child status achieved. You know what I mean though. I would have been cheaper.

A few years ago I was always just a little short at the end of the month. Not by much, maybe a £30 grocery shop a few days before payday. Now the bank account I had had a 'buffer' overdraft which let me go overdrawn but the charge was a flat £25. Had Wonga been around back then then I reckon they would have charged me about a fiver a pop whereas HSBC took their £25 charge every month for a year or so until I got myself straight. Not saying I like being associated with them but they would have actually saved me money in the past.
