This. It's a soft one and he could definitely have stayed on his feet but it's a pen imo. I think he's going down regardless but the arm across the chest and the clip on his knee is enough, in this day and age, to warrant a pen.

Th situation needs to be resolved this window as this constant 'will he, won't he' impasse isn't helpful at all. I realise it's stating the obvious but if he wants away then let him go and replace him. Footballers move from club to club regularly and Ba, whilst being a very good striker, is just another bloke who has worn the shirt and will move on eventually. We'll miss his goals when it happens but this constant speculation every window helps no-one. It would create a problem if/when he leaves but, oddly enough, could also solve a different problem simultaneously. Sign a new deal or pack your bags. Not that arsed about which one he chooses any more, the saga has ground me down into a state of apathy.

Knowing when to just shut the fuck up is a key lifeskill. Sadly, some people have great difficulty in learning it.

The manager should be putting the interests of the club ahead of keeping individual players happy. He's paid to manage the players and get the best XI on the park in a formation which best suits the team. If Pardew hasn't got the bollocks to do it then fuck him. The club comes first.

Got to be honest, the result today was always going be more important than the performance. We HAD to win today and we did. It would've been nice to win with a bit of style and play well but it didn't materialise. It was more of the same dirge we've watched all season and there are still massive problems that Pardew seems unable or unwilling to sort out.

If he is going to be a makeweight in the deal then I can't see him being risked. Not with his record of injuries.

Don't think it's any coincidence that Ba's comments have come at a time when we've been linked with Remy. We're trying to haggle a deal out by most accounts and this is both sides just posturing. Ba is reminding us that he could easily go to a bigger and better club for a relative pittance and we're linked immediately with someone who could replace him.

Aye, it's pretty obvious that this season isn't going to be a 'good' one. Too much damage has already been done to get a good finishing position this year. He's lost the plot. Our only plan seems to be to keep the ball in the final third and hope that a moment of individual brilliance notches a goal. We don't play as a team any more, we don't have a plan to target certain teams in certain areas, we fucking launch it from most areas of the park, our movement is dreadful, our passing is sloppy and wasteful, the subs he makes have no influence on the game, our defence are all over the place, we have zero threat from set pieces and yet cant defend them and the manager makes excuses every game rather than accept any blame himself. The sooner he fucks off the better. It's going to happen eventually, it's already gone beyond what he's capable of repairing.

4.5 Absolutely bereft of ideas and creativity. Relying on a moment of individual brilliance to score, poor defending, disjointed, chopping and changing formation and personnel from game to game, subs having zero impact, manager who refuses to blame himself and looks lost. Fuck me, we're in a hole. Even if we get out of it and finish 15th or something like that it's been a monumental abortion of a season. He deserves to lose his job for what he's presiding over atm.

Just remembered some idiot in the Gallowgate screaming at the ref for being "fucking racist" when he booked Sammy for fuck all. Abuse went something like: "What ya booked him for ref?....What's that for?.....YA FUCKING RACIST. YAV BOOKED HIM COS HE'S FUCKING BLACK!! YARA FUCKING RACIST!!" Two minutes later one of the Wigan lads, forget who now, made a worse tackle... "What ya not booked him for like?...It's cos he's fucking white, that's why. If he'd been black yad have booked him. YA FUCKING RACIST CUNT!!" The chap appeared to be quite serious too.

Proper white flag stuff that. I was all for blooding a couple of youngsters in the competition but not all at the same time in the most difficult game ffs.
