  1. When was the last time we didn't make a profit during a transfer window? Must be a few years ago now is it?
  2. Marveaux in, Routledge (eventually) out. I reckon we're about a million up on the deal at a random guess.
  3. Or they fucked the paperwork up when signing him and are now spinning it into it being 'routine'.
  4. 'Pre-decided' and 'routine' my ballsack. Can't remember Drogba, Kalou or the Toure's (or anyone else for that matter) having to jump through all of these hoops.
  5. Ferguson will do as he's told. Might be a case of Pardew thinking - 'He's a natural left footer and works hard up and down the wing. Fuck it, he'll get us by at LB 'til January.'
  6. This is my take on it: The club identified Tiote as a player they wanted last summer. The invited him over to discuss a contract and become an employee of the club and he agreed to join. I presume they arranged is flight over here, his accommodation while the talks were ongoing, his medical, his registration being transferred to us, his visa, his registration with the tax authorities and so on. I'd also like to think they gave him advice as to where to buy property and so on to help him settle quickly. As far as Tiote is concerned all of the stuff the club sorted out to allow him to play for us should have been done properly. IF it turns out it wasn't done properly then the buck stops with the club and the officials whose job it is to make sure that red tape issues like this don't happen. We wanted him. We should have bent over backwards to make sure everything was sorted. All imo obviously.
  7. surely if its with his visa or passport its tiotes responsibility to sort it out, not the clubs? Wonder who sorted out his visa to pay for us when he signed? I'm presuming it was us because he became one of our players/employees and we took care of it so he could actually play. His passport would be a different matter, that's Tiote's responsibility but I've not read that this was the problem - it was the visa. The person(s) organising the tour should have sorted all of this stuff out before we even left.
  8. What's he said this time?

What's the context of said phrase mate? Never heard it. it's said by commentators when what they really mean is "on goal". "so&so needs to do better in that situation & at least get his shot on frame..." they think they're being so innovative with soccer jargon--- arrgh! Ah right, frame is such a shit word to use in that situation.
  10. Bridge swings into Toon. Or something like that. Hopefully the monstrous cunt isn't coming here though.
  11. Love it how his stock has fallen immediately he signs for someone else. Cracking signing for Villa - £9.5m (in today's market) is fairly modest and I wish he was here. No point saying 'I'm not bothered, he's average, blah, blah'when he's clearly a very good player.
  12. Completely unacceptable situation to put Tiote in. No way should one of our best, most important players be in Accra training by himself whilst also trying to sort out the fucking mess he's got every right to expect his employers to sort for him. Can't imagine this happening at any other club - at least not one playing at the same level as we are. Fucking thick amateurs.

    You're bang on Yorkie.
  14. If it was significant/true it would be the headline tomorrow. They wouldn't keep it until Sunday. It's complete bollocks.

  16. What's Klinsmann up to these days?
  17. Set piece? Dunno just flashed up on SSN, can't find it online, just the Fulham game which has been dire. Jonathan Walters scores a headed goal from just inside the edge of the penalty box. Stoke 1-0 Hajduk Split. 18 yard header?
