So he's not better than Obertan, Guthrie, Gosling, Lovenkrands and Sammy Ameobi - all of whom have appeared in our midfield this season so far? I think he'd get more games for us than for them. Never claimed he'd be starting every game but he'd find it easier to break into our XI than Man Utd's.

Sometimes half the hassle is caused by the player not getting regular football and either losing interest or becoming disillusioned as a result. Keep him occupied with regular football and he might become less of a problem. Doesn't always work out like that obviously and this Morrison may just be a complete arsehole who's going to give all of his managers grief regardless of how he's treated but you never know. If the talent is there then it's worth a small gamble imo.

Depends on how bad his knee actually is I suspect, if it's as bad as reported and he gets fucked on a 5yr high wage deal Ashley and Dekka will tighten up even more. That's the risk that he would be taking obviously. It's also a risk for any buying team too though so if Ba's expecting a massive contract from some fucker in the summer then he might need to think again. No way will he get £80k a week on a 4 year deal or anything like it.

I'm clinging on to the hope that Ashley's greed will work in our favour this time. If he does nothing then he'll miss out on a cracking player for a pittance. Offer him a new deal, bin the clause and keep him. When the offers come in he can be in a position of strength to negotiate the best deal possible. Then again the best deal possible for us is a moot point. Very little, if any, of the cash will go back into buying a replacement. Much rather just keep the player but can't see him being in black and white for much longer.
