  1. Can't afford to be too picky tbh. He's better than what we've got currently and costs nothing. He's going to want a canny wage which is fair enough, the only issue is his fucked knee but the club obviously know about it and would presumably put something into the contract to prevent us getting burned on the deal.
  2. They're clearly on the bones if their seer if that's all they can muster up. Would never say the deal won't go through but they'd need to triple it before it would even be considered. Part ex for Cole could be a goer maybe?

    Season Tickets

They need to send the direct debit mandates out through the post, they couldn't do it over the phone. They told me it would be 8 payments of about 70 notes. My seat is reserved until they receive the completed forms.

All the cool kids sit in block M of the Gallowgate. Fact.
  5. If Henderson going for £20m is the benchmark this summer then Baines is worth more. Much better footballer. I'd even wager that Baines would be a better CM than Henderson is right now.
  6. If he doesn't want to play for us (and why should he, given he's got absolutely no connection with the club at all?) then I wouldn't really want him here. He's clearly a very good player but if he wants to play in a different league then fair play to him. No need for the hostility and move on to someone who wants to be up here. No harm done in going for him.
  7. This is what I don't understand. If England were dominating football at international level I could see why all these players cost so much, but they're average. Million miles off the likes of Spain and Brazil. If anything it's a negative thing on the English game. These ridiculous prices are putting far too much pressure on young, inexperienced lads from day 1, and if they don't do the business from the off their confidence is shot and the press turn on them. More English players should play abroad, it would do them the world of good. Would you move your family abroad to work for less money? They stay because the English clubs pay the big money.
  8. Given that he's been on international duty since it was first announced, I'd say so. Must be a complete coincidence then. Looks a cracking player from what I've seen like.
  9. Is it cynical of me to think the Cabaye signing has been arranged to happen on the very day that season tickets go on general sale tomorrow?
  10. Clichy's obviously their Plan B. Enrique's staying.

Rossi's a canny player now too.
  12. Don't really give a toss what he's been up to tbh. Not really our business and my giveashitometer has barely moved.
  13. Nee stink without shite mate. It's been McLaren nailed on, Rafa nailed on, Martinez nailed on today. Tomorrow it'll be three more randomly chosen names. You hope...

    Gervinho

Said it before, the 'right' move for Gervinho, being completely impartial for a minute, is Arsenal. They can offer him Champions League football, a chance to win things, the London lifestyle, the location and the ease to get back to France and a French speaking manager who's managing a stable and well-run football club who play good football. He'd flourish there imo. He should go to Arsenal. Hope he doesn't like but that's his common sense move.
  17. The club has to decide what's more important - Nolan in the squad and contributing or an extra £4m (or whatever) in the bank. Aye, he's replaceable. Aye, he's 29 and his value is only going to diminish as he gets older and closer to walking away for nothing but I'd still rather he was here than taking a chance on his replacement fitting in straight away. Not got a problem at all with trying to shift the dead wood who are making no contribution at all but £4m is hardly enough to replace what he provides to the team on and off the park. I'd rather lose him for nothing in 2013 than take a paltry fee now. Keep him, see how it pans out and review things next summer.

They just don't seem like Liverpool players. [/vomit]
  19. He'll be signing on in 11 months time... At least if he can con someone into giving him a 2 or 3 year contract at a lower wage then he'll be getting a bit of security. God, I hope he leaves.

    Sunderland...

I'm not so sure. Their main problem last season was that the midfield didn't contribute goalwise. They've potentially got a player here who'll score 5-6 a season and set up close to double figures. Depends who makes way for him in the XI tbh. He'll strengthen their squad but isn't good enough to move them up the league significantly from what I've seen.

Top 6. The thick cunts I spoke to thought they were entitled to it in December.
