Enrique looks an absolute shadow of the player he was just 6 months ago. He's a cracking player and I'd like him to stay but not if he's going to play like that. He's clearly not happy so it's better if he goes if the speculation is going to affect his game this much.

The lack of effort and commitment in the second half was disgraceful. Just couldn't be arsed, going through the motions without giving the first fuck about being professional and seeing the game out. West Brom played for the full 90 minutes but we knocked off half an hour early and slipped 3 places down the league. Fucking gutless, embarrassing cunts.

Hughton's made for that job. Barmy decision btw.

Carlton Palmer.

47 points would have been about 8th. Barmy league.

All of those goals and they're still second best. Still, at least they managed to win the Spanish Cup. It should provide some degree of solace as they fritter their millions on a new set of players this summer. Player's who'll, no doubt, eat Barca's dust yet again next season.

Can we win the Premier League minus the 'Big Six' next season?

It's not how much we spend it's who we buy. Spaffing £30m on players who don't fit isn't as good as spending £20m on players who do. Everything is up in the air and it's impossible to answer this question. Absolutely pivotal window for us. -
Going to be loads of Millwall fans in the mackems end at West Ham tomorrow apparently. Should be fun.
-
If he's got no intention of signing another contract with us then the club's got no choice but to sell him while he still has some value. Obviously the option of waiting to see who we bought isn't even on the agenda which is a shame. As long as he does things in the right way and hands a request in and is honest about wanting to play for another club then it's fair enough. I don't want anyone playing for us who doesn't want to be here and if his head's been turned then we need to get the bugger replaced. Best of luck Jose. (unless you sign for those cunts)

Blackpool's only hope is that they lose by one whilst Birmingham and Wigan lose by a few. I'd like Blackpool to stay up but I reckon they'll go with Wigan.

The rules obviously don't restrict their present finances in any way then. They don't. Both clubs (bar Barça this season) have been posting "profits" every season and would cruise through the regulations. The debt has been growing in both cases. What's their trick then? Remember getting a load of shit on here for suggesting that there may be a loophole which the bigger clubs would exploit to get around the rules a few months back...

Fucker's so fat he needs 4 crutches. SELL.
-
'Butch' Wilkins. Biggest misnomer in football.
-
I'm assuming you can buy a new ticket online when they go on general sale? You don't need to go to the ground and pick one, do you?
-
Glue factory. Sure I've read that he's off back to Ipswich at the end of his contract, taking a massive pay cut to play for his home town club again. To play? Bit optimistic isn't it?
-
He's not going to get into the Spanish squad by playing shite is he? If he does leave on a free he'll probably have far more options anyway, so I don't think he'll be too fussed at staying an extra year. He's not going to get into the Spanish squad regardless of how well he plays for Newcastle. He needs/wants a move if he wants to move his career onto the next level.
-
Would you keep and play a bloke who doesn't want to be here though? All very well saying keep him even if he wants away but he's hardly likely to run through walls for us when he knows he's walking away for nothing in a few months time. Shit or bust this summer.
-
He knows exactly what he's been told. That's the very reason he's being so vague and non-committal. He's just getting his excuses in. [/cynicalasfuck]
-
I'm guessing he knew what was coming. I'm also guessing that he'll be ok and get another decent job in the game. Sullivan and Gold deserve relegation. Might get quite nasty down there tbh. Not sure what the financial situation is there but if they need to sell all of their better players then it could be a while before we see them again
-
Respectfully disagree. If he hasn't signed a new contract by, for argument's sake, July 1st then I'd sell him. I want to keep him and hope that he's offered a contract he wants to sign but IF he's dug his heels in and wants a move then he has to go this summer. Can't lose him for nowt next summer.

Blessing in disguise. No Europe means they can have a proper go at the top 4 next season. Spurs won't cope with the extra fixtures and Arsenal are slipping a bit. Could work out well for them in the long run. More's the pity.
-
Aye, could probably keep an eye on them both. One eye's going to the shop and the other's coming back with the change.

Couldn't agree more. We've got a few players we need to ship out because of their wage (Smith, Xisco) and a few who simply aren't good enough but we have to keep the quality we already have as a bare minimum. We should be adding another 4 quality players with the Carroll but if we can pick up a couple of Bosmans then all the better.
