Exactly this. the players are good enough to get to at least the quarters. poor tactics and organisation is the big failing here. They're struggling to control and pass the ball on a consistent basis. Doesn't help when the boss is chopping and changing the team, granted, but they're not getting the job done. Capello will get the stick but his players are letting him down badly imho.

Cascarino also dyed his hair and lied about his age when he met the Marseille president to get his move. Scored 61 in 84 for them so it worked out quite well in the end.

Thought Heskey did quite well in the first half tbh. Made the goal and caused a few problems for the US defence. Agree about Cole though. I'd have started him, if fit obviously, and certainly wouldn't have brought SWP on at all.
