I think people just want a ballpark figure of how many points has been enough to go up automatically in the past. Never really payed much attention to the CCC before but usually there's one club that races away and either stays there or is reeled in by the pack and doesn't usually go up. The top of this league is very tight this year and lots of teams are dropping points on a regular basis. I'm pretty confident that if we can get our key men (Shola, Taylor & Coloccini) back then we should still go up as champions. 85+ should be enough but there's still a lot of work to put in yet.

I also think Kiz would look better alongside Taylor or Coloccini rather than Simpson too. Add Campbell into that lot and we've got decent cover and a bit of experience. Get a couple of wingers in and Ameobi back and we're suddenly looking like a decent team again.

I'd be willing to bet that this £20m he's putting in is purely to cover wages til May. Given the choice of Strachan or Hughton to manage us, I'd choose Strachan every single time. He's not some kind of miracle worker but he can send a team out with a game plan and has an idea of how to achieve it. Hughton seems a canny bloke but is painfully out of his depth.
