  1. I honestly don't think Moat ever got close to subsidising the deal. it wouldn't surprise me to hear this being resurrected in the next few weeks. Do you know something we don't?
  2. Hansen laying into Liverpool, get in. Paying the price for over-relying on Gerrard and Torres to bail them out of the shit every week. Take those 2 out and they're a very ordinary Premier League team.
  3. What do you mean 'just'? They finished an entire point above us after not even winning on the final day. That's enough to go out on the pitch singing like a twat like you've just won the league, apparently. They've been absolute toss since last December. They were a complete surprise early on last year and had some cracking results to get them the points on the board. The rot has well and truly set in now though. If he doesn't walk he'll get peddled this week.
  4. I think people just want a ballpark figure of how many points has been enough to go up automatically in the past. Never really payed much attention to the CCC before but usually there's one club that races away and either stays there or is reeled in by the pack and doesn't usually go up. The top of this league is very tight this year and lots of teams are dropping points on a regular basis. I'm pretty confident that if we can get our key men (Shola, Taylor & Coloccini) back then we should still go up as champions. 85+ should be enough but there's still a lot of work to put in yet.
  5. He's basically just reminding the fans that he's got them into the Premiership and kept them there for a season. Just. Now he and his shit team have been found out and he's got no answers so he's going to get the bullet. He's getting his retaliation in first.
  6. What an absolute fucking twat that bloke is.
  7. Unofficially we're still on the market imo. If someone comes up with the cash, Ashley will sell us regardless of his statement last week.
  8. Wins for Lyon and Fiorentina in the Champions League this week would make it virtually impossible for them to qualify for the knock-out stages. That might just be the final straw.
  9. Got no time whatsoever for either of the Old Firm. If they've been a bit reckless with the cash then tough shit - they should have cut their cloth.
  10. Tiny edit. You're right though.
  11. Interesting to see that we've already played 7 of the 9 other teams that make up the top 10 of this league and we're still top.
  12. If he wants to come here for the right reasons and he's wanting a reasonable wage then I can't see the problem. We've been slightly unfortunate in as much as we've lost both first-choice CB's at the same time and the results have suffered badly. I also think Kiz would look better alongside Taylor or Coloccini rather than Simpson too. Add Campbell into that lot and we've got decent cover and a bit of experience. Get a couple of wingers in and Ameobi back and we're suddenly looking like a decent team again.
  13. Interesting to see the ratio of winning to losing bets from this thread. Reading back there's a lot of unhappy posts with bets going down. Reminds me why I never bet tbh.

    Calum Davenport

That's why they're having the trial.
  15. He gambled on us staying up without spending anything last year and lost. He's now gambling on us going straight back up without spending anything this year. He's a fucking prick.
  16. Can't see the point in the boycott. He knows how hated he is and doesn't give a shit. Boycott away if you want to but nothing positive will come of it. Better off supporting the team imo but it takes all sorts I suppose.
  17. I've stopped looking for any sort of logic in his decisions now.
  18. I'd be willing to bet that this £20m he's putting in is purely to cover wages til May. He's not 'investing' the cash, he's just keeping us ticking over in the hope we can continue to spawn our way to promotion. Also, if he were to get a decent bid for the club in the next few months he'd sell us in a heartbeat. Officially we're off the market but if someone waves £80m in front of him he'd snap their hands off.
  19. The Mike Ashley (because I can) Arena
  20. Must admit, at the time I thought he just put his arm around his shoulders to guide him away. Seeing it again it's pretty obvious that he deserved to go and I can't understand exactly what Hughton saw in the replay. To appeal after seeing it again a few times was just mental stuff.
  21. Other than the single tier end they've basically nicked the Emirates design for the rest of the stadium. Not content with just living in Arsenal's shadow, they now want to live in the exact same shaped shadow.
  22. Ironic that the first club to lose few players to swine flu is also the club managed by a useless fat pig.
  23. Given the choice of Strachan or Hughton to manage us, I'd choose Strachan every single time. He's not some kind of miracle worker but he can send a team out with a game plan and has an idea of how to achieve it. Hughton seems a canny bloke but is painfully out of his depth.
