  1. If he doesn't want to be here then that's fair enough. He's put 11 years worth of good service and deserves the chance to win a few things before he retires. Annoyed he's had to do this but let's get the best deal for him. If City are in for him let's start the bidding at £12m.
  2. It wouldn't be you they'd take to court, it'd be us, so just don't do it, okay? Ask Yorkie about what happens when people post stuff that could get us in the s*** legally. Aye right, whatever. The smb got closed down for a few days because of allegations made about a Sunderland player not too long ago at all. So don't fucking do it.
  3. Doyle is worth an absolute fortune to Reading at the minute though.
  4. I'd have preferred it if he wrote one good article a day which covered all the relevant information rather than 3 or 4 shite ones. Sadly, he's such a poor journalist that he struggled to do just that. Won't miss him in any way, shape or form.
  5. He's the reason I stopped buying newspapers. An absolute bellend.

    Steven Taylor

I don't think he would. I think he's just a little bit better than Nyron Nosworthy. Not a great deal in it mind to be fair.
  7. They're a good team. There's no obvious weak-link from I through XI. They've got a bit of everything really, pace on the break, a target man, hardworking CM's, organised CH's, decent full-backs, very good keeper, bit of youth, bit of experience and a top manager. Owner who throws money at the boss and they play good football. The remind me of us 6 years ago tbh. I really hope they finish top 4 this year and earn a crack at the Champions League.

He'd get in Sunderland's team tbf.
  9. What do you think of the merits of appointing a manager who won 4 titles with 2 different clubs and 3 manager of the year awards ?
  10. i'll bet we do.........may not be any good, may well be worse thatn what we already have but i'll bet we do sign someone. Agree with that 100%. We will sign some players and I also think we'll lose a few too. How much is spent (net) is the key. Not sure I agree with that mate. Surely the quality of the players is the only important thing, if we get in some good players on frees or at bargain prices, then I don't see how that can be worse than paying a huge amount of money for one decent player or blowing a huge wedge on a total trophy signing. What if we sold someone for ridiculous money (eg Owen to Citeh) and got in 5 or 6 good quality replacements for less, our net spend could even be a negative figure, but that doesn't mean the squad wouldn't have improved. Improving the quality of the squad is the only important aim, how much it costs is irrelevant. Some of our best players have cost very little and many of our worst have cost loads. That's a fair point actually. I just sort of assumed the players I'd like us to sign are the very players that the selling club don't want to lose and would therefore cost a bit more than I'd like us to pay. Clubs doing well hate losing the players that make them tick so you tend to pay more than market value for them. We'll just have to wait and see I suppose.

  12. He might get a bit of stick for changing his mind but at least he had the guts to check and come to the right decision. Plenty of the arrogant twats wouldn't have even bothered and given it regardless. Well done Bennett.
  13. They've won one in over 2 months btw.
  14. and violated by the prison horse on a daily basis.
  15. Send that one to the club Midds. Its fantastic! It's not mine to send in! Someone (clintdempsey?) did it ages ago on an Inter shirt. It turned out the shirt itself was a fake but he changed the blue to white and kept the black stripes and it looks tiptop imo.
  16. As much as it sticks in the craw, he hasn't been found guilty just yet though. The fact they've charged some and let some go so quickly after the incident seems to imply they know pretty much what went on like. The Mirror article is just ridiculous though as LLLO has said. He's one of the biggest cheats in the sport. He's a dirty bastard too. Sorry should have made myself clearer. I think the Mirror article is bullshit. If Steven Gerrard is innocent then fine, but the intense double standards between this and what happened a year ago are disgusting! Couldn't agree more. The press will take it easy on him even if he's found guilty imo.

  18. Still this modified (fake) Inter shirt: http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll71/ludwigfalkman/magpiesmaglia.jpg
  19. It would have to be a ridiculously big bid to tempt me to sell him. His saves could be the difference between staying up and going down over the next 18 games.
  20. I expected nothing less.
  21. Given to Arsenal for £8m according to the rags. Think it was the Express. 'Unhappy Shay on his way'
  22. I thought it was just a straight one game ban? Not sure like. Wouldn't play him anyway tbh.
  23. First time in a while where there should be no pressure on us to go out and win. I'd play a few of the kids and rest Coloccini, Bassong, Owen and Gutierrez. If we win then great, if we don't then fuck it. Just tell the XI to go out and try to enjoy their football. I'd even take a replay tbh.
